Rosemaster doesn’t know what compels her to try one day. It’s not at all the first time she’s tried since coming here, to activate her powers, but she doesn’t often try to summon Roselings. Not unless she’s feeling particularly lonely, which, in fairness, she has lately.
But she tries, standing out in a park and waving her hand, trying to form a Roseling the same way she forms a vine. She doesn’t really expect anything to happen, but then... the ground moves. Dirt is overturned. Tiny vine-like arms burst out of the ground, and then a small little figure pulls itself free.
“Miss Rosie?” it says, looking up at her. In a split-second, and uncharacteristically of her, she wraps the Roseling in her arms and clutches it to her chest.
“I missed you so much, my dear.”
“Rosie!!!”
