my final printmaking project and some variants. 5 layer reduction from 2 different blocks. Tentatively called 'Pain map of the Body,' this piece is about chronic pain, and highlights the most painful spots in my body. I wanted to make the horrible no good very bad way i live look beautiful. This took me forever to make and hurt like hell, and honestly i dont like it much. But cest la vie.

Moo~! This is a non-themed one-off subliminal put together inspired by some past suggestions in the server ๐ฅฐ
This is NOT a weight gain or a weight loss subliminal! This is all about transferring/shifting weight and size from one desired area to another~ So for example, if someone wanted to shift some extra pounds from their thighs into their belly, or some muscle from their calves to their biceps... That sort of thing! It's all about exchange and transference, as opposed to expansion/growth like I normally do.
For best results, this subliminal requires at least a little bit of visualisation and focus on desires~
This is neither a !CURSE! or a !BLESSING!, I've deliberately left this track unmodified, so that you as the listener can decide if you want to add those particular qualities to this track or not~ ๐ฅฐ
This should be treated the same as a goal sub in terms of playlist placement. Generally before my boosters, but after OmniBreaker~
If you're new here, and you'd rather a WEIGHT GAIN or EXPANSION subliminal instead of transference, I have literally dozens upon dozens of those! So why not check them out~?
This intended to work for EITHER fat or muscle, and should be suitable for any and all genders~
Just like with any subliminal audio, this shouldn't be a substitute for professional care and consultation and should be treated as being for entertainment purposes only!
Please always remember to take care of yourself and make sure that the things you pursue in life are for YOUR happiness!

I came across the post that says if you say you canโt be vegan because you could never give up cheese, go vegan except for cheese and I agree with it, but it got me thinking about how that stance isnโt usually accepted by a lot of vegans
Maybe itโs because I see reduction as a good thing (not great, but better than nothing at all) but I donโt understand why itโs so frowned upon. Surely someone being vegan in all aspects except one is a net good? I see posts all the time about people saying theyโre vegan except x or asking hypotheticals about whether eating something non vegan thatโs otherwise be wasted and while obviously these things arenโt technically vegan, the shame put on these people was sad. These people are agreeing with you, you can point out that itโs not completely vegan but outright rejection of them is cruel. Iโve looked at post by ex vegans in the past, and barring the rude and hateful ones, Iโve comes across some where they are majority vegan, but they reject and dislike the label/movement because of how theyโre received by some vegans. The loss of allies and advocates is quite upsetting when weโre still a minority.
To be absolutely clear, veganism is about rejecting the exploitation and consumption of animals in all aspects, and letting that definition get too wish-washy isnโt good. Also, despite being supportive of reduction, I do find it difficult to be around people who consume animal products.
I do think that while itโs good to keep the definition clear, I think that outright rejection of anything but perfection is redundant to our movement. Using โfreeganismโ or โfreeganโ as an insult is childish and harmful. Someone who is vegan except for cheese or leftovers/things to be thrown away is technically a freegan, yes, but both the hand-wringing over terminology and the hatred towards โfreegansโ isnโt going to inspire someone to move towards veganism.
I hate the โbut what about crop deathsโ argument as any vegan for its whataboutism and being used as an excuse to not be vegan, but if weโre being honest and critical, could it not be argued that vegans are vegan except for crop deaths? If so, is that not freeganism?
I completely understand why some vegans might be frustrated with these kind of people, I feel that way too sometimes. The problem is though that with a world still so hostile to us and reluctant to let go of animal products, we need to be smart. I know online is rarely indicative of how the majority feel, however I really canโt tell if Iโm in the minority with this or not.
You know Iโm not quite sure where I was going with this. Maybe, whatโs your opinion? I know you reposted it so you probably agree with it, but what do you think about in general? Like do you think we should be encouraging it, or should we consider it a different type of veganism, but still veganism? Is accepting this as a type of veganism detrimental?
Reduction is absolutely and unequivocally a good thing, for anyone. A non-vegan who is eating fewer animal products than before is objectively causing less harm, that is a good and significant action by any metric.
All that said, I think that the point to make is that while we should absolutely encourage and celebrate reduction, we should be advocating for veganism as a moral baseline. The goal canโt be just reduction, because if that becomes the minimum then the message becomes that itโs alright to harm and exploit animals so long as itโs only a little bit.
Obviously this is nonsense, but we have to balance that with being realistic - some people will never give up animal products, either because they canโt or just wonโt. If we frame it as all or nothing, a lot of people will just choose nothing. Vegan is a verb, it is an ideal that we all strive for, but none of us actually reach it. Being gentle with people who fall short of that ideal is a good thing, so long as they are trying.
I think that as a community we are quite split on this, but online it can seem as if this is an unpopular opinion, simply because the most extreme people on either end tend to be the most vocal. Moderate vegans are who we probably hear from the least, as is the case with most movements. With influencers especially, they have that following because what they say is interesting, and interesting quite often means novel, so these people donโt represent the views of most regular vegans.
Wordplay Wednesday: Oxidation and Reduction
As a geologist, I use the words oxidation and reduction a lot. For example:
These rocks have gone through oxidation.
Or this rock contains reduction spots.
But what do I mean when I say these things? Primarily, this has to do with iron and its properties (but other elements can be oxidized or reduced too). Iron is super reactive with oxygen, like best friends who go everywhere together. However, what iron isn't aware of is that oxygen isn't a good friend.
Reduction is the opposite of oxidation. It is the gaining of electrons. So, if one element is being oxidized, another is being reduced.
Making sense so far? Here is what the reaction for rust (which is what happened to those red rocks above) looks like:
Copper also oxidizes. A great example is the Statue of Liberty.
So the next time you pass by red cliffs you can sound super smart to your friends and family by telling them that those cliffs have been oxidized.
Tune in tomorrow for a look at the father of mineralogy. Fossilize you later!
