Bonus Round! Yog-Sothoth Residue Martin! I tried to capture the guttural fear that he would be inflicted with in the nightmares he has, but it's a bit hard to do so when the eyebrows can't properly join the frame lmao. The depiction of the swirl written in @therealandian's ReDeath / Search Through The Stars AU was sorta described as (from rough memory) "greenish oranges and yellowed purples" or something of that sort, but I wanted to add blue as a way to show that Martin did regain his sense of self in the aftermath, and now fights to keep that identity in a way. Sure, it's hard, and he put himself back in the Institute's clutches to do it, but he's trying and we love him for that. It was quite fun to experiment with this, kinda half tempted to chuck one of my own AUs ocs into Yog-Sothoth for funsies (I wouldn't, its a funny idea tho). Tomorrow's releases are gonna be a bit more... interesting~. Have fun guessing who is next >:3!

Did some drawing tests on eyes using the characters from @therealandian's ReDeath / Search Through The Stars AU! The first one is Major Jonathan Sims of General White's rebellion, the (former) Archivist of his world and a newborn Mechanism (thanks Carmilla...)! My idea for the almost camera-like sclera comes from @trans-jon-rights's fanart of the same character, which helped really hammer home how unsettling a Mechanism would be to look at when exposed. No wonder Gunpowder Tim has glasses of some sort in most fanart variations... I plan to space out the release times between each art so I can work on more of my own characters, but for now, it seems The Eye wants more. Have fun guessing who is next~

The third of the drawing tests using the characters from @therealandian's ReDeath / Search Through The Stars AU! If you haven't guessed already, it's Martin Blackwood, long-time Mechanism, survivor of Yog-Sothoth and long-lost protector/love interest of Jonathan Sims! Thanks to Andian themselves for clearing up his eye colour for me; originally, I was going to make it brown with like a slight bluish tint in order to reflect his time in Yog-Sothoth, but then I realized it probably would have been mentioned in the fic if he had heterochromia, so I abandoned the idea. I exchanged it for an unnatural vibrancy to his eyes, which wouldn't be as noticeable to others and is still kinda not mentioned but we take creative liberties when the idea is too exciting. I honestly love Martin's characterization in the fics, it makes his more Web-like ties a bit more... there? Like don't get me wrong they are, but it feels more tangible when you throw in a few centuries or so of age and experience to strengthen them. You know the drill; The Eye wants more. Have fun guessing who is next... or more, *what* is next~

And also its not like they all have to play the instrument of their song, Jon is a piano and can't because of his hand so why not
