I don't really get what happened to blase, Amy, and Jeremy. Was it like a love triangle?
Kind of.
Itâs a bit complicated, so the explanationâs under the page break:
Blaise and Jeremy started out as just friends with benefits, with Jeremy more âintoâ the relationship aspect than Blaise. They were getting along pretty well for a very long time, kind of dating, but also not (if that makes sense). Their relationship wasnât traditional, but it was obvious that they deeply cared for each other.
But then Jeremy got stabbed in the chest with a knife and almost died. When he was in the hospital, Blaise was FREAKING THE HECK OUT. She couldnât handle the thought of losing him, so she stayed away. I think she only visited him when he was unconscious, but being so close to his near-lifeless body REALLY hit her hard. She was super scared of him affecting her like that, so she tried to distance herself from him so that she wouldnât feel the pain.
Jeremy wakes up and gets out of the hospital. To his knowledge, Blaise wasnât there for him. She was the last one to âvisitâ him. She should have been by his side when he needed her most, but she wasnât. He has no clue of the freakout. Blaise ends up breaking off their relationship with little-to-no explanation why. Jeremyâs super hurt and angry by this.
Amy then turned into a ârebound girlâ of sorts. She was everything that Blaise was not. Sweet, caring, and there for Jeremy. Like two days after breaking up with Blaise, Jeremy gets together with Amy. They both really like each other, but Amyâs hesitant about the new relationship (as she should be). She says that she wonât continue seeing him until he tells Blaise that theyâre together. Jeremy takes his damn time doing this. Really, it takes forever.
During this time of Jeremy being angry at Blaise (and him dating Amy), Blaise is in a horribly unstable state. Her past has come to haunt her, and her guilt over killing Kolo (the dude who killed Ken) is hurting her. She goes to therapy and tries to fix her mental state, but itâs super hard. It doesnât help that Jeremyâs a jerk to her every time they meet. Slowly, she starts to fix herself and finally realizes that her fear of losing Jeremy was because she loved him. But itâs too late now, Jeremyâs moved on.

How do you think COD will end for Amy? Will her and Jeremy fall in love
I think sheâs gonna be okay :)
In the epilogue, her and Jeremy seem to be getting on pretty well. As long as they take it slowly and donât rush into anything again (like in the beginning of their relationship), they should be fine. I believe theyâve both learned how important communication and dealing with their own/each othersâ problems are to a healthy relationship.
Will they fall in love? Maybe. Or they might date for a while and then move on from each other.
Whatever it might be, I think theyâre at least going to be good friends for a long time.
What are your thoughts on the whole amy/blaise/Jeremy situation?
Yes, letâs talk about this frustrating love triangle again.
I guess weâll start off with this really, really (really!) long meta post I made a while back, when Blaise was still having her mental breakdown and Jeremy still hadnât told her about Amy.
Now Blaise has had her mid-life epiphany and changed for the better, and wants Jeremy back. However, heâs moved on to Amy. The major complication with this is that Blaise has finally realized that she is in love with Jeremy, Jeremy doesnât seem to be in love with her anymore, Jeremy really likes Amy, and Amy really likes Jeremy too.
Ultimately, for me, Iâd be fine with whatever the characters end up seriously choosing. However, I will not be alright with Jeremy staying with Amy out of obligation, or Jeremy getting back together with Blaise out of guilt.
If you know me, then youâll know that Iâm a hardcore Blaisebird shipper, with their long months of history and beautifully constructed rapport between them. My ideal solution would for Jeremy to break up with Amy (no more leading her on), and get back together with Blaise. Amyâs currently not in love with Jeremy, and it would hurt her the least (and maybe then she could find herself a guy who is 100% into her and only her).
But if Jeremy decides that itâs Amy he truly actually wants to be with, then Iâm not going to argue. Theyâre the perfect sweethearts, and are really cute together. Iâll just be super sad for Blaise, finally having opened her heart to someone just to have it broken (further proving her âIâm better off aloneâ thoughts).
THE ONE THING THAT I DO NOT WANT TO HAPPEN IS FOR JEREMY TO CONTINUE HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH AMY, AND THEN REALIZE THAT HEâS STILL IN LOVE WITH BLAISE. No noooooo noo. We do not need an âOsctaraâ incident again. Both Amy and Blaise do not deserve that kind of heartbreak. Noooope nope.
All I really want is for everyone to be cute and happy and drama-free again.
But ugh Iâm so sad because Amyâs going to get caught in their mess again and then love triangle plot and then tears. I really hope that sheâll march over there and settle things like the responsible adult that she is, because Jeremyâs being a baby and Blaise doesnât know that the Redchen tension even exists.
Though I am proud of how cool Blaise is playing it, taking her awkward interactions with Jeremy like a queen. Jerbear really needs to get his act together, because everybody else in this love puddle is ready to get things sorted out except for him.
I feel guilty shipping Redchen, because I used to love Blaisebird and now I don't. And I also feel like you're gonna hate me or something since I ship Redchen.
OI. YOU THERE.
YES YOU. NOW LISTEN UP.
DONâT YOU EVER FEEL GUILTY FOR SHIPPING AN UNPOPULAR SHIP.
JUST BECAUSE MAJORITY SAYS ONE THING, IT DOESNâT MEAN THEYâRE RIGHT.
SO WHAT IF I LIKE BLAISEBIRD A LOT AND YOU DONâT. WE CAN STILL BE FRIENDS.
WE CAN STILL FANGIRL OVER THIS GAMEÂ TOGETHER. I AM NOT GOING TO HATE YOU.
FREEDOM OF OPINION IS FUCKING FANTASTIC AND I ENCOURAGE YOU TO SQUEAL ABOUT REDCHEN AS MUCH AS YOU WANT TO.
IF ANYBODYâS GOT A PROBLEM WITH IT, I WILL PERSONALLY GO AND (POLITELY) PUNCH THEM IN THE FACE FOR YOU.
NOW GET YOUR BUTT OVER HERE SO I CAN GIVE YOU A TELEPATHIC MIND HUG. BECAUSE HUGS ARE GREAT.
READY?

NOW IF YOU EVER NEED ANYTHING FROM ME, OR FEEL LIKE IâVE DONE SOMETHING YOU DONâT AGREE WITH, JUST GO AHEAD AND TELL ME. IâM NOT GONNA GET ANGRY OVER STUFF LIKE THIS.
HATERS JUST ARENâT WORTH IT. DONâT LET THEM BRING YOU DOWN, YOU BEAUTIFUL, PASSIONATE, WONDERFUL BEING.

I really don't want to come off as mean. Like, I love this blog and I love you...but like, how can you ship Blaisebird and act as if Redchen doesn't matter? Amy's hurting right now. She wants Jeremy and Jeremy wants her, but Blaise is always there, looming in the background and I don't understand why everyone's against Redchen. I'm tired of the hate we get! What did we do? Nothing. You can ship whatever you want but it just doesn't make sense. :(
First of all, you should most definitely not be personally getting hate for what you ship. Thatâs just not cool. If people are being mean to you just because you ship something that they donât, then screw them, they aren't even worth your energy.
Secondly, Redchen does matter! I matters a lot! Now I obviously canât speak for all the Blaisebird shippers out there, but at least Iâm going to express my opinions on this.
This is why love-triangle-esque plots are the actual bane of my existence. In order for one ship to work out, it means that somebody has to get hurt.
I like Redchen. At first I thought that it was a tad bit boring for my tastes, but their adorable romance has grown on me after seeing them interact. They're the two sweetest people alive, and they would be legitimately good for each other. Also, cute dorky innocent ships melt my heart into mush.
What I don't like are the circumstances under how it's happened. Jeremy and Blaise just had their big fight. They haven't known each other for years and years, yet they're still very big parts of each other's lives. They're partners, in more than one sense of the word, and now they feel betrayed by each other.
Just a few days after their fight (with both Blaise and Jeremy feeling unstable), Jeremy's latched onto Amy. She's optimistic, supportive, and was there for him. Everything that he believed Blaise was not.
I know they had a bit of chemistry beforehand, but what pushed Jeremy into the romance was how not like Blaise she is. Even on their first (almost) date, he was comparing it to the experiences he had with Blaise. That's not how a relationship should be. And yes, I do believe that he genuinely likes Amy for Amy, but constantly comparing her to Blaise is not healthy.
Actually this entire scenario isn't healthy, because he still hasn't completely broken it off with Blaise yet. Not properly. He and Blaise are just both too proud and stubborn to sit down and honestly talk about their feelings and insecurities. And now he's stuck in that awkward transitional phase where he's not in a proper relationship with anybody, and all it does is cause headache and pain.
Kudos to Amy for putting the foot down and telling him that she'll only continue their romantic relationship if he's completely sure he and Blaise are over. This includes telling her about his feelings towards Amy. I'm very proud of Amy for doing this because she obviously knows what's healthy in a relationship, and wants theirs to be sincere and not have to worry about him going back to Blaise. And it saves her the heartbreak if it doesn't work out.
In an ideal situation, Jeremy and Blaise would have talked it out with each other already. And, if after fully understanding what the other is going through and they still decide that being a part is better for the both of them, then alright. Then, after making sure that there aren't any lingering feelings, Jeremy would look in Amy's direction. They would gradually go forth in their relationship, and maybe it could turn into something serious. And I'd be cool with that.
Because Amy doesn't deserve to go through another failed relationship.
Now the only reason why I want Blaisebird to work out more than Redchen in this triangle is because Blaise needs Jeremy right now. She's clearly not as stable as she could be (ie: the red room nightmares, how she thinks she's a murderer for killing Kolo, how she believes she was meant to be alone), and Jeremy was literally all she had. Her family's of no help (her mother being ill and her sister busy with like 8 kids), and she can't go to Mal or Nat with this. She could talk to Dr. Cole, but he's not there for emotional comfort. And with all of that bottled up inside her, Blaise's reckless personality might cause her to do something that she'll seriously regret.
Amy, on the other hand, has already but a metaphorical stop sign onto their relationship. She knows Jeremy's still attached to Blaise, and even though it'll hurt to see him go back to Blaise, she'll understand.
What I'm trying to say is, if Blaise had somebody else to turn to for help, somebody that would comfort her and wouldn't judge her for feeling the way she does, then yes, Redbird would be cool. If Blaisebird actually communicated properly with each other and reached a natural finality to their relationship, then yes, Redbird would be cool.
I'm just very uncomfortable with the entire situation right now because nothing's being fixed or resolved. Blaise still hates herself and is deeply scared of what she might do. Jeremy still hasn't told her about Amy, even though Amy specifically requested him to. He jumped ships like a game of musical chairs, and the process that needed to be there for it to work has been skipped completely.
This post is a mess and I don't think I'm making much sense here. It worked in my head, I'm sorry.
TL;DR:
I'm sorry you're getting hate, because you shouldn't be.
Redchen is very important, and I'm sorry if it seemed like I've been brushing it off.
This love triangle thing is a mess, and I really hope they work it out soon, because they can't have all these distractions about them when trying to hunt down someone as dangerous as the Firstborn.
Jer and Amy are cute, but now really wasn't a good time.
Amy's pretty much the only logical one here.
Jeremy needs to work out his love-life. Like fo realz. Maybe he should write it down or make a flowchart or something. Just work it out.
Blaise needs a friend. Pronto. Because I'm really, really scared for her mental, emotional, and physical safety.
I'm so glad the Redchen played out like it did. Now Jer can dig up the feelings for Blaise he tried so hard to bury...BlaiseBird for life!
Iâm glad that Amy finally put her foot down about this whole messy love triangle thing and is making Jeremy sort everything out before they decide to pursue their relationship (or not).
This way, if Blaisebird gets back together, Amy wonât have her hopes up and they wonât be dashed as badly. Of course sheâll be hurt (at least a little), but now that sheâs established these boundaries with Jer, she knows that heâs not going to lead her on again if he still has feelings for Blaise.
But this means confrontationâs coming up very soon. This could potential signal the end of Blaisebird for good. Geez Iâm scared.
To the Five-0 anon: I totally see the similarities between McKono and Maltara! Eep it's actually spooky how much they're alike! :) Oh and my question to you is if Redchen and BlaiseBird's situations were switched, who would you ship? :]
Oh hey, he/she was just here! You guys should get off Anon and fangirl with each other :D Because I really canât help with these comparison asks, I havenât seen this show /sobs
Anyways, what do you mean if their situations were switched? If Amy had a FWB relationship with Jer, and Blaise was the nerdy, sweet one?
Oh god I do not see that happening.
But if you mean which ship I would have shipped if they both happened naturally, then I probably would still pick Blaisebird. I talked about both their relationships in this post a few months ago, and even though Redchen is adorable, they have no easy banter, and it truly just feels like an innocent little fifth-grade crush.
Even though Redchen would be healthier, Blaisebird is just so much more exciting :) The fact that theyâre not working out just makes me want them to work out even more, ya feel me?
They have problems, and I want to see them deal with the problems and still be together after all that.
