Take 2 of new fish....
My last ones died the next day I'm not 100 percent but I think it mightve been that I didn't have a heater in the tank and and I use a fan most nights so here's to hoping we do better.
THIS TIME I GOT
A BETTA- Asmodeus/Asmo
A GARRA - Paimon
And 3 little fish (I forgot the name of already 😃 so if you know lemme know)
From smallest to largest- Lucas, Deimos, Venti.
I loveeee them 🥰🥰🥰
The fast blur in the photos is paimon the garra. And yes my betta is doing..... @twancingyunhoe is gonna hate me for this....
SWIMMINGLY.
With the others!
CW: Pet Fish Death
Magnus, my betta fish, has passed away. He passed away during the night, laying next to his beloved marimo. I only had him for a year, but tried to give him the best life I could, especially once his tumor showed and it was clear his time with us was limited. He lived with his tumor far longer than we expected, truly living up to his place as a Siamese Fighting Fish. He really enjoyed trying to fight my roomate, Jamie, and my father. He enjoyed looking at flickering flames and a can with interesting designs my dad had. He was a beautiful fish. He will be missed.
Here are some pictures of him for your viewing pleasure.
[ID: Five pictures of Magnus, a betta fish with a white body and brights red fins.
Image One: he is peaking up over a fake rock and looking at the camera. Tubing and a cord is visible behind the tank.
Image Two: Magnus is facing away from the camera and is in some fake plant leaves, next to the rock from the first photo. His bright red fins are all that are visible and pop next to the green leaves.
Image Three: Magnus is side on to the camera, hiding in his fake anemone, which is white with pink tips. His tumor is visible, but small.
Image Four: A top down view of Magnus in his tank when it was fist set up. The gravel of the tank is colors of muted earthy reds, oranges, and white. There is a large real plant, which he is over one of the leaves of. There are many bubbles nests (groups of little bubbles bettas make to show they are happy) across the surface of the water.
Image Five: Same tank set up as image four, however this is a side view of the tank, Magnus is swimming up near the top left, next to the filter.
End ID]
This is Ares. He is currently in a split 5 gallon with one of my females, Persephone. In the photos he was in a 2.5 gallon. Ares is a red and iridescent pink dragonscale betta. I think he is around a 1-1.5 years old.
He is a very beautiful boy, but because I purchased him from a chain petstore he comes with bad health due to breeding. Currently I'm treating him for fin rot that started to show up a few days after I got him settled in.
Ares is a very angry boi who loves to flare at anyone who will give him attention. He likes his live plants and laying down on his heater (weirdo).
He is one of my favorite fish by looks, because he is really different from any fish I usually see online or in stores. But so far he has been my hardest fish to get in tip top health.
He went through a whole treatment of fin rot meds with no improvement so I've moved to Melafix for treating his fins. On day 2, and waiting to see results.
I hope you enjoyed meeting my baby! You will see more of him and updates on his treatment.
I'm hoping to introduce you to all of my fish.
Absolute unit

I've become more active recently and enjoy swimming up to the front of my home to see people!! (Unless I'm sleepy)
This is Chili! I saw him at PetSmart today, in the next town over, and they were selling him and a bunch of other bettas for $3.99, and baby bettas for $3.49. He looked absolutely miserable and his water was filthy and he was obviously crammed into one of those tiny cups of water, so I got him and a heater, and took him home to be with my pond snails. I plan on getting more plants for him, and some betta food, like those tiny bugs they sell, tomorrow when my money comes through. Anyways, I just wanted to show you guys what I did!
Now he’s a big boy 😭
