I created this little froggy friend with paper mache out of recycled math notes.
Oh, how splendid icy cold winter lakes look in the heat of July. The photo I used for a reference was taken as a snow storm was coming over the mountain and heading for the lake. The whole thing, painting and frame, is a reclaimed cabinet door. My very odd adhd father picked up something like forty mismatched cabinet doors and panels from a going-out-of-business sale and gave them to me to paint on. I thought it was a bizarre idea until I tried it and liked it - not having to spend $ on framing is definitely working for me. They sell pretty well, too, people like them.

As a long-time photographic artist, FANCLUB13 was always capturing little abstract urban scenes. He started making collage using scraps of trash he found on the streets, making it into art, and then putting it back out on the street.
