Ya know something about S1 that still kinda irks me?
We CAN get with Rohan for a bit, but Erikah acts so obnoxious about it...and we can, at no point in any conversations with her, tell her we are into him. It's just listening to her "I WANT HIM SO BAD" calling us a cow at the recoupling and then being a bitch about it the rest of the time. Like the drama could have been spaced out or something but instead we look lowkey snakey.
And like. Girl, you may not be in a couple you LIKE, but I don't even have a couple here. I'm sleeping alone because homie thought he could just graft on whoever with his reasoning being I chose last and that's it. Plus Rohan is super cool, I wanna do cute couple hand stands together.
But I can't like Rohan because...you do? And I'm supposed to just let that be good enough for me? Hm....

Dancing with the Stars Recoupling
Tonight has frustrated me so bad that I need to fix the couples NOW. I cannot wait until the end of the season. I am opening it up to ideal couples (any pro from all 32 seasons) and what realistically can happen.
Men
I will say that I think the male celebs were partnered mostly well this season. I wouldn't change too much about them. But I would change one or two.
KEEP
Barry and Peta Harry and Rylee Jason and Daniella Mauricio and Emma (only barely) Matt and Koko
Peta works extremely well with the older gentleman and has had the best season that she's had in YEARS. Harry and Rylee work really well together. Jason and Daniella are a couple made in DWTS heaven and are not being appreciated like they should be. We didn't get anything really from Matt and Koko, but they seemed cool enough.
RECOUPLE
Tyson and Britt Adrian and Jenna (truly Karina)
I'm not the most thrilled with the Mauricio and Emma partnership, but it's passable. So I let it slide for the sake of making this easy. Tyson and Jenna weren't a big mismatch, but Britt and Adrian were. And for that reason, I would shuffle the two as I think Jenna could be okay with someone like Adrian (as good as she was with Tyson at least). That being said, in a perfect world, I would bench Jenna and bring in Karina for Adrian. I think Karina is the one pro that could still bring out the softer side of him in the most efficient way.
Women
KEEP
Xochitl and Val (contingent upon changes being made to everyone else) Lele and Brandon
Lele and Brandon are the only couple I would flat out keep. They work well, their energy is great together and they balance one another. This was one of my top 3 partnerships of the season. Xochitl and Val would be cool in a way more competitive season. I don't feel like Val is bringing it like he can and it's because the majority of the couples are just not working out. So he can get comfortable.
RECOUPLE
Jamie Lynn and Sasha (Louis) Mira and Pasha (Keo) Charity and Alan (Derek) Ariana and Artem (Mark) Alyson and Gleb (Alan)
This was actually disastrous. The show needs to employ more tall male dancers. Having Mira in the mix throws a huge wrench in the coupling process. Jamie Lynn and Sasha would've worked really well considering the way that Sasha partnered Tonya Harding and presented her in such a positive light. But Louis would be the ultimate person for this task. Even though I don't particularly care for him, the man has a knack for building up confidence, showing people their best selves and getting non-dancers to become decent dancers all while giving us pretty interesting choreography. Pasha kinda just got stuck with Mira but I think Keo would partner her extremely well and fit the height requirement. I think Charity could work well with Alan, but I think the person that she really needs is Derek. I can see him wanting so badly to get into the studio with her to work on everything. She's got it. She really does. I also would be interested in seeing her dance with Ezra. Ariana would be cool with Artem. Since she already performs with intention, he won't have that problem to contend with (that he also doesn't know how to fix). That being said, I think Mark would create magic with her. A season with a Mark and Ariana partnership and a Derek and Charity partnership would be one for the books. Alyson kinda just got stuck with Gleb, but I think I could see her with Alan and it work. She needs a partner who will challenge her and Alan will do that. I also think he has enough patience to work with her.
