A completely significant (and relevant) commentary on vanity & the obsession with surface-based beauty.
For anyone who cares to observe: Please take into consideration the profound Power in the performance of the young lady who played the character, "Marilyn" (when observing the episode in it's entirety; portrayed Perfectly by the late Collin Wilcox Paxton [R.I.P.]). It's not shown in this clip above, but later on she ends up having a very important breakthrough (I won't spoil it for ya). Check it out especially if you enjoy incredible performances & strong examples of Awesome writing.
One of my favorite episodes of The Twilight Zone because of its infinite importance & social significance.
...It's important to encourage young little girls to embrace who they are so they never have to feel the need to change into something that they are not. Young girls (and women in general) are depending on us in society whether we know it or not, and it's up to us to ensure that all young women never feel like they are not good enough just because of a beauty industry.
True beauty can not be bought (and should never be "mandatory" in society).
True beauty is found in the eye of the beholder (another one of my favorite episodes you should check out if you have not seen it yet; "Eye of The Beholder").
