What a great question! I have so many recs and it does depend on what you like in your Vetinari/Drumknott fics. If you haven't found it already Badass Tiger made a Dreamwidth with links to V/D fics from all over. Some links are dead (blog was last updated 2018) but there are some great links to fanfiction.net, LiveJournal, their own drabbles they didn't post else where, but most links are to A03. BadassTiger has one written called Colour that is very short and sweet.

As they haven't updated since 2018 they do not have links to any of DictionaryWrites who is an exceedingly talented writer who now post their own original works. Their Drumknott/Vetinari works are a masterclass and look towards a more mature take on the relationship. Drumknott is more than the rosy clerk and is given a cutting edge that makes sense for the personal clerk to Vetinari, who is more machiavellian. There are very tender moments and though their largest fic about this pair, In Duty, is not completed it is at a good stopping point and is supplemented by the the others stories in their Patrician and Clerk series.

Youtomyme and Ololon, on A03, have my favorite takes on Vetinari/Drumknott. Youtomyme does some great soul mark ones that allow Vetinari and Drumknott to face their feelings due to outside sources that fits them very well as they are both such dedicated professionals in the books. 'All's Fair' is my current favorite in this trope. Ololon is so talented as well and is one of the highest kudos authors on this pair for a reason. 'Three mistakes Drumknott made' is a fic I read over and over again. When I need a nice long fic the 'Seamstresses' Guild Ball' is my go to. I love that one and have commented on it several times. The way they write Vetinari is very believable.

I am not sure if you want explicit some of the ones mentioned above are. Everything has a tag! Even in BadassTigers they include a summary and SFW or NSFW tag next to the link for the most part. Last one I am going to recommend because I really could go all day with these is 'The Self-Publishing Subculture' by Aunt_Zelda. It really scratches my discworld need. It is hilarious, heartwarming and practical. Plus it acknowledges how fanfiction written on Disc might be taken from an administrative POV. I feel I am not selling this well but it is such a good fic.

I hope I didn't recommend to many you may have already read and if you are looking for non romantic Drumknott & Vetinari that still has them very close @cirrus-grey writes several excellent ones.

From i will possess your heart by @lazulisong. The fic is already illustrated by @gabedrawz, who actually knows how to draw a fouette with proper ballet posture! I, on the other hand, just wanted to draw Yuuri’s butt. And his smile, but mostly his butt.

Great ASMR videos/ channels for studying etc

these might not work for everyone (in the same way) I can be super picky as well but I wanted to rec some great background noise videos that help me study for when my room is too quiet or for the times i need to set a good mood to motivate myself.

as you might have noticed these are all by two creators, besides the videos I listed here they have tons of content.

I like ASMR rooms because of how wellbalanced her sound mixing is. the sounds are always changing throughout the video and most videos have weather changes as well.

some people might remember me occasionally ranting about not getting any good wlw story that’s comparable to mdzs/tgcf etc, or at least something that is unapologetic wlw but also focuses on more in the plot than just the romance.

well, this wonderful site alerted me to the fact that such a thing exists and while the translation is still ongoing, here is my first impression of the first 40 chapters of 

(*drum roll*)

Female General Eldest Princess / 女将军和长公主

summary:  

16 year old Lin Wanyue takes the name of her twin brother, after he and her whole village get killed in a Hun attack. Having no place to go she joins the army in order to survive and also be able to take revenge for her loved ones. Her sole focus in live is to kill 118 Huns, the exact number of villagers that got killed in the attack.

Around the time her second year in the army rolls around, the empress dies and both the situation at court as well as the border where Lin Wanyue is stationed gets more dire.

Li Xian, the eldest princess, not only has to deal with the death of her mother but also protect her brother, the only 8 year old crown prince. Seeking for support she turns to her uncle who serves as the Grand Marshal of the army at the border. He just so happens to be Lin Wanyue’s superior who, with her wit and strength on the battlefield, starts to catch his eye...

expectations

the translators say that this has a happy ending so i am already intrigued and the whole set-up of soldier/bodyguard and princess screams romance tropes. i was expecting some ridiculousness because how would a mere foot soldier meet the eldest princess of such a huge country???!

was looking forwards to Lin Wanyue being a badass and Li Xian needing lots of protecting.

first impression after reading the first 40 chapters

there is much more plot and density to it than i expected. in order to protect her brother, Li Xian is absolutely brilliant and cunning, using what people she has to subdue the older princes while not raising any suspicion. she has a lot more agency than i thought and the author does really well at making every step she takes towards Lin Wanyue believable. 

Lin Wanyue IS a badass, but she also trains very hard and is the most adorable when she’s with the princess. some hardcore crushing from day one.

I enjoy that the horrors of war are not downplayed and that characters are allowed to be morally grey, especially the princess is fascinating in that aspect. There’s attraction between the main characters from the beginning and it is brilliant to have Lin Wanyue adore the princess in every moment while the princess is drawn in by Lin Wanyue’s character and aura but not necessarily interested romantically because she believes that Lin Wanyue is a man.

So far I am impressed by the scale of the story and how well they deal with the cross-dressing (addressing all the issues Lin Wanyue faces regarding periods etc) and the character building. Cannot wait for more chapters.

The translators got the permission by the author and their love for the story is palpable in the translation despite some mistakes (the first page or so reads a bit clumsy but they quickly find a good voice).

aww, you are too cute! also: perfect timing, I was just ranting with @earthpodd​ about having no wlw shows to watch.

i’ll just give you the shows I’ve watched and would recommend, just note that there sadly is a lack of well-written and interesting wlw shows in general, even more so if I am solely considering the main characters or the main storyline. i don’t include fetishizing content, shows that bury their gays and those that have incest storylines (side-eyes Japan hard).

the sad reality is that most wlw content can only be found in super dramatic or artistic movies, often made by men. there are some wonderful exceptions (listed below) and there are promising things announced for after 2019, but not as many series.

i usually prefer asian series because they feel like elaborate movies (not a fan of too many seasons) and i am always on the look out for wlw content that’s not only “just” a romcom, but alas, there’s not much to choose from. (give me space lesbians with a solid adventure storyline! give me bi women as main characters in fantasy epics!)

(i also haven’t watched some popular shows like “The L Word” so they are missing from this list -> if anyone has further suggestions feel free to add to this list in the comments!)

going to sort them after my sapphic meter: the more wlw romance and the more important the sexuality of the main character for the story, the higher it is on this list!

Gentleman Jack (2019, HBO, USA/GB)  - Historical Dramaperiod drama based on the real life of Anne Lister, lesbian and industrialist. I haven’t finished this yet but I live for the main character, she is a badass and she and her love interest are everything together. this show is also super intense, with all the conflicts that arise when male landowners and other industrialists want to get a piece of her land.

EDIT: finished it and it is brilliant!!

Sense8 (2015-2018, Netflix, USA) - Sci-Fii think most people have heard of this so i don’t think i need to write much about the plot. finally some sci-fi content with an unusual amount of queer main characters. netflix was a dick to this series but it was great and something different.

Skam España (2018 -, Moviestar+, Spain) - Teen Dramathis is the spanish adaptation of the norwegian tv series skam. innovative in its format it tells the daily life of teenagers in short clips and on social media accounts. the third season’s main story focuses on two girls falling in love and it is a GOOD. they tackle some serious issues but overall this is more of a school/coming of age romance. (note that the other adaptations and the og don’t feature a wlw couple in the main story)

Killing Eve (2018 -, BBC America, UK) - Spy Thrillerdespite horrifying killings that need investigating this series, genre typically, focusses on the relationship of its two main characters. we follow MI6 agent eve polastri (sandra oh) on her hunt for assassin villanelle (jodie comer), who takes an unsettling liking to her. we don’t know their sexualities but villanelle is canonically not straight and for eve, we have to wait and see. they do have insane chemistry and sexual tension which is also very important for the plot. and fiona shaw (actual lesbian) is in this so win-win for representation. the acting is superb.

Fleabag (2016 - 2019, Amazon, UK) - Drama Comedythe stories centers around fleabag, an angry, unstable, and sexually insatiable woman. great use of the fourth wall. even though the main love interests are male, fleabag is bi and it plays an important role in the story. the writing is so on point this series is pure perfection. phoebe waller-bridge is super attractive and a scarily relatable mess as fleabag. fantastic depiction of trauma and how people deal with it while being funny af. has fiona shaw (actual lesbian) and andrew scott (actual gay) in it, so win-win-win for representation. also: olivia colman is in it. 

Brooklyn 99  (2013 -, NBC, USA) - Sit Commost people are aware of this brilliant sit com which features an amazing bi main character. it’s an ensemble cast so it counts.

Derry Girls (2018 -, Channel 4, UK) - Sit Comset during the Troubles in northern ireland the series follows a group of catholic school girls (plus their lovely male english rose) on their adventures. there’s a wee lesbian in the ensemble cast and she’s great and important.

Diary of Tootsies (2016-2017, GMM 25, Thailand) - Comedythe show follows 4 friends, 3 gay drag queens and a lesbian with terrible taste in women, on their search for love. this show is bonkers but has a super satisfying lesbian storyline

The Good Place (2016 -, NBC, USA) - Sit Com -> disclaimer: I haven’t seen the newest season so idk how heavily the bisexual part features in itthis show has a super interesting premise and focuses more on philosophical questions. nevertheless it has a bi main character and some wlw content.

5. Biggest WTF momentThe golden core reveal in the book! ( read it before the drama so I don’t know how much I’d have been surprised without prior knowledge watching the scene in the series). Maybe I didn’t pay enough attention, but from what I remember I wasn’t even sure that Wei Wuxian had lost his Golden Core at that point. So I was extremely shocked by the reveal and also very excited because it made his past actions much more understandable and his dynamic with both Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji got even more interesting. 

8. Most Confusing Part In The Storyon my first read i had a hard time remembering all characters so i think i zoned out a lot when the story didn’t focus on wangxian, so not necessarily a particular part of the story that confused me but i was just not paying enough attention. also: the timeline is random af.

10. Favourite Fanfic Set-Up Uhhhh!!! I love me powerful Yiling Patriarch stories where he survives the second sunshot campaign and anything and everything that focuses on the Yunmeng brothers relationship after canon. Also: every fanfic about the WangXian family regardless of universe.some great “bamf!wei wuxian survives the second sunshot campaign and adopts everyone”

16. Favourite Habitwei wuxian talking non-stop about lan wangji after they’ve met. so much so that the whole jiang family (read: jiang cheng) is super annoyed by it.

17. Purer Cinnamon Role Than Wen Ning (sorry for all these typos in the ask game) hmmmm…Wen Ning is pretty much peak pure cinnamon roll, but from the younger generation Ouyang Zizhen might even out-perform him. sure he is loud and direct, but also doesn’t know how to act in most social situations because the world is such a happy place for him and did you know that Hanguang-Jun and Senior Mo are dating and they’re not as dramatic about it as I want them to be but still super cute, and wtf Hanguang-Jun is now married to the Yiling Patriarch and all my dreams have come true, i have no idea why Lan Qiren looks so constipated maybe that’s because of Jingyi…..19. Cinnamon Role Meme (4 Characters) 21. A Fanon You Like hmmmm….this is pretty much canon but WangXian adopting everyone and everything while roaming the country & Wei Wuxian managing to cultivate MO Xuanyu’s core.and the lan wangji played inquiry for 16 years fanon. not because i think lan wangji would try and bind wei wuxian’s spirit to him but more so to find out whether he’s at peace and at some point it becomes this tiny remembrance song he plays for wei ying once a year.

35. Who Is The Biggest Disaster many disasters in this one but maybe Jin Zixuan??? i think he is so lucky for Jiang Yanli to be persistent in her love for him and MianMian intervening to clear up some misunderstandings…left on his own he really is a sad disaster.

but there’s some tough competition from wei wuxian, jiang cheng, jinling and more…
