👕 wear ugly Christmas sweaters ( stiles for lydia )
lydia elizabeth martin had never been a big fan of christmas. once upon a time, it had been a reminder of joy and hopes and dreams and family. but then divorce had become a word in her vocabulary and so had poverty, loneliness and bitterness. the happiness was gone and instead there was only emptiness & then there was the pack and suddenly hope was alive within her again. except everything still fell apart and they were all torn in different directions and she was hollow once more. barring him, of course.
the two of them might not have worked out, but she could always count on him to walk her off the edge — remind her she was so much more than her ghastly powers and how drawn to death she was. stiles was the light in the end of the tunnel, even if lydia never admitted it. and today was no different. opening her apartment door, she let out a scoff at the sight of him in a hideous christmas sweater.
❝ that's one ugly christmas sweater, stilinski, ❞ the strawberry blonde woman whispered, teeth sinking into her bottom lip. yet she could feel it, the sparks of joy and hope igniting inside her heart. it makes her almost as desperate as not having any left. hope was a dangerous thing, lydia martin would know that better than anyone. ❝ what are you doing here? ❞
