What if Ahsoka met baby Leia đĽşđ
The countdown to Ahsoka continues and the only thing in my mind is that scene in Rebels season 4 where Ezra falls over a box in front of Thrawn and just goes âheyâ like theyâre best buddies and they just look at each other in total disbelief for a second

It was a nice day.Â
The suns were bright overhead, beams of light beating down on the patrons of the marketplace, causing the paler folks to burn and everyone to drip with sweat. The burning heat didnât deter anyone from being out and about, however. The marketplace was as full as ever, filled with the loud cacophony of haggling in every language in the galaxy. Various droids whirred past, some shouting advertisements, some just screaming.Â
It was so loud and so chaotic that no one paid any attention to the bodyguard racing through the marketplace, a middle-aged man shouting worriedly for his charge.Â
His charge was currently standing in the center of a dark alley, staring down the blaster of a bounty hunter with a surprisingly calm demeanor.Â
âJudging from your clumsy attempt at drawing me away from my bodyguard, your short range blaster, and your general air of less-then-standard intelligence, Iâm going to assume this isnât an assignation attempt?âÂ
Eleven-year old Princess Leia Organa snipped, crossing her arms and looking directly down the barrel of the blasters. She had quickly learned that acting scared was the fastest way to make these sort of people confident, proud in their abilities. It could easily be used to trick them, a few well timed wails and sobs and theyâd lower their guard and she would be off, stealing their blasters and taking them out. However, she had also learned that acting confident was just as good a retort, especially when dealing with the more naive bounty hunter.Â
She wasnât entirely positive what she was dealing with yet.Â
âSo, what sort of bounty are you wanting?â
She asked, tilting her head to the side and considering the bounty hunter. They were well equipped, with knives strapped to their belt and a powerful short range blaster pointed directly at her head. No long range weapons were on them, and they were wrapped in thick cloth and armor. There was no easy access for her to attack them.Â
âCredits, supplies, pardon from past crimes?â
She listed, watching as the bounty hunterâs finger twitched slightly on the trigger. She shouldnât have followed them into the alley, but she had been pissed at her bodyguard and missed her parents and so had decided to be reckless. She was regretting it now, of course, but it had seemed like a good idea at the time.Â
âSilence, Princess.â
The bounty hunter leered and she exhaled through her nose, feeling the ever familiar rage build up in her mind. This nerf-herder really thought they could threaten her and get away with it?Â
âOr we kill you.â
We?
She spun around to see three more bounty hunters enter the alley, blasters, knives, and vibro-staffs drawn.Â
Shit.
âYou need me alive.â
She said, tilting her chin up and fixing the head bounty hunter with a glare. She heard the distinct sound of teeth grinding and the bounty hunger shot forward. She ducked to the side and underneath their arm, kicking at the back of their knee as she did so. She screamed at the top of her lungs, remembering every lesson about self defense and safety she had ever been taught.
She sprinted towards the wall, jumping and grabbing onto the gutter drain. She braced her legs against the wall and began to climb upwards, her fingers digging into the metal as shouting erupted underneath her.Â
She felt it before she heard it, a blasted bolt coming at her. She tilted her head to the side and it hit the wall next to her ear. She scowled and tried to yank herself further upwards but a hand was grasping the back of her dress and pulling. She fell back to the ground with a scream.Â
She spun around but a blaster was immediately pressed to her temple, burning hot metal meaning that this was the blaster that had just been fired.Â
âYes, currently youâd be better alive.â The head bounty hunter said, tilting her chin up with their fingers. âBut that could change.â
These were better bounty hunters than she had expected.Â
âNow walk.â
One of the bounty hunters shoved her forwards and she sniffed, sticking her nose up in the air but doing as they said.Â
They hurried through the alleyways, a blaster pressed to her temple and another one to her back, the bounty hunters whispering orders to each other. One of them favored their left leg, one had a lisp, and she couldnât tell a single specific detail about any of them. Their disguises were thorough, almost as if they had heard that all bounty hunters who went after her ended up in jail or dead. She was good at recognizing people.Â
She closed her eyes, the nearest bounty hunter letting out a groan and shoving her, hard.Â
âCrazy child.â
They muttered and she fought to keep the smirk from trying to spread across her face. She kept walking, letting the bounty hunters lead her as she tried to picture the map of the area she had studied. It appeared in her mind quickly, accompanied by the sensation of warmth, rushing around her rapidly. They were nearing the port.Â
That wasnât good.
The lead bounty hunter was smug, thinking about what they had to doâthey were hired by someone important, someone high up, so high up that they didnât even know their identity. The other bounty hunters had been hired by the leader, had no idea who was in charge, just knew what they would get quite a lot of money.Â
âHey!â
Pain flashed through her temple and her eyes flew open. She had stopped walking and the head bounty hunter clearly pissed off.Â
âKeep moving.â
They walked down two more alleys before they reached the port, moving through the shadows to reach a rusty old freighter, not the sort of ship that she expected them to make a quick getaway in. Theyâd be hunted down before they could get to hyperspace.
Two more bounty hunters appeared, pulling the leader aside and conversing quietly with them as she glanced around, trying to figure out if there was a way she could get out of this.Â
âHere.â
A piece of fabric was shoved at her and she blinked, unfolding it to see the symbol of the rebellion. She looked up at the bounty hunter, not believing that they were a member of the rebellion.Â
âNo, she canât be holding it.â
The head bounty hunter snapped, yanking it from her hand. She raised her eyebrows, watching as they placed the scrap of fabric on the ground nearby.Â
âWhen the officials find it, it has to look like it was dropped by the rebels.â
She had a sickening feeling she knew where this was going.Â
Alderaan was notorious for beingâŚkinder to rebels than most imperial planets. Of course they were, her father helped run the thingâshe wasnât stupid, she knew how to crawl through vents and eavesdropâbut if the rebels did somethingâŚhorrible, sure as kidnapping the princess, or worseâŚ
âPrincess. Stand here.â
Shit.
She whipped around frantically, trying to launch herself in any direction, but the bounty huntersâ grip on her was tight and a blaster was being pressed against the small of her back and she was going to die, wasnât she?Â
She needed help.Â
She needed someone, anyone, to help her because she might be good at fighting but she wasnât this good, she couldnât get herself out of this, as painful as it was to admit.Â
She was shoved in front of the wall and watched as the head bounty hunter lifted their blaster. Two others held her shoulders, clearly trusting their leaderâs shot well enough to be comfortable holding her in place for her death.Â
Everything slowed down.Â
She saw as the head bounty hunterâs finger moved to the trigger.Â
She saw as a shadow moved on rooftop opposite the bounty hunters.Â
She saw as twin blaster fire came out of nowhere, hitting the two bounty hunters holding her in place.Â
She saw as they crumpled, molding holes in the center of their heads.
She saw as the head bounty hunter pulled the trigger.Â
The shadow launched through the air, slamming into the head bounty hunter and sending them flying, their blaster bolt ricocheting into the air.Â
The world was ablaze around her. She could feel it, fire practically bleeding from the shadow, wrapping her in protection. She bent to grab a blaster from one of the dead bounty huntersâ beltsâ, pulling it free. She looked up and felt her mouth drop open.Â
The shadow had two blasters and was spinning around, taking out bounty hunters with deadly accuracy while dodging blaster fire from the head bounty hunter, who was struggling to their feet.Â
Leia watched, transfixed, as the shadow kicked a metal pipe on the ground into the air, spun around, and kicked it again, while it was mid-air. The pipe went flying and slammed into the head bounty hunterâs head. They fell backwards and the shadow grinned, all teeth.Â
The last two bounty hunters lunged at the shadow. She opened her mouth to scream but the shadow just spun around and shot both bounty huntersâ in the chest, dual wielding blasters with an ease that mustâve came from years of practice.Â
The shadow spun the blasters in their hands and placed them in their holsters before turning to face Leia.
The shadow was a young woman, maybe in her late twenties. Tall and muscular, dressed in a simple tunic with an armor chest-plate and tall, almost knee-high boots. She was togrutan, orange skin broken by white markings on her face. Her blue and white montrals went almost to her waist but not quite, and she held herself with an air of intense confidence that Leia could only wish to have one day.Â
âIââ
Leia said, her words dying her mouth. The woman tilted her head, smiling at her. There was an air of sadness in her eyes that unnerved Leia, almost like the woman was looking at someone long dead.Â
âThank you.â She finally settled on, the woman laughing slightly in response.Â
âWell, I wasnât about to let them kill you.â
The woman said, smiling at her before crouching and picking up the scrap of fabric with the rebellion symbol sewn on. Leia watched as she pocketed it, no air of disgust or hatred on her face.Â
âWhoâŚâ No, that was a stupid question. This woman wasnât going to tell her who she was, it could be a liability. âHow did you learn to shoot like that?â
The woman smiled fondly, taking the blasters out of their holsters and spinning them easily.
âMy older brother taught me.â
Leia opened her mouth to sayâŚwhat, she didnât entirely know, but that was when the shouting started. The sound of loud, frantic yellsâand she could make her name among them.Â
âI should get going.â
The woman said, turning to leave.
âWho are you?â
Leia said quickly, stepping forward and grabbing the womanâs hand.Â
It was like sitting in front of a fire, the woman practically radiating warmth and comfort and dangerâan odd combination but one that Leia felt like she knew, somehow. The woman blinked at her, something flashing across her face, something like sadness and fondness and memories, all in one.Â
The woman silently handed her a slip of paper.Â
Leia let go of her hand.Â
The woman sprinted towards the wall, leapt into the air, and disappeared before Leia could even blink.Â
She unfolded the paper.
The same markings that were on the womanâs face were sketched on the paper, accompanied by one word.Â
âFulcrum.â
Leia whispered as her bodyguard raced towards her, accompanied by other law enforcers and stormtroopers. She pocketed the paper quickly, turning towards them and rambling about how the bounty hunters turned on each other and she had hit the leader with a pipe.Â
They escorted her back to the apartments she was staying in.Â
The paper, burning a hole in her pocket. The woman, burning like fire, somehow safer than many other people she had met in her eleven years. She knew this Fulcrum, even if she had never met her before.Â
She sat by her window, her R2 unit whirring at her side.Â
âDoes the name Fulcrum mean anything to you?âÂ
R2-D2 beeped at her, saying nothing meaningful, babbling nonsense the way that he always did when he didnât want to answer a question.Â
She sighed.Â
It was a nice day.Â
