What color combo should I make the portals?
A very sigmar night over at Anabis' place for the evening. A three for all in the mortal realms using the field of blood battle plan. Nurgle daemons came to blows with the khornate blood bound and the forces of Thunder's necromancess/archeologist. In the end the tribes of the reavers and blood warriors were too tempted by the skulls of the fighting dead and were killed to a man (and khorgorath-affectionately called khorgy) while the plague host cemented a victory (and claimed control over the realmgate) while the necromancess lived to escape the tides of murder, stemmed by her unliving servants. In the end we all got what we wanted; a good fight, valuable research, and stagnant contol of the land.
Realm Gate
Here is the design I did for the realm gates surrounding Tyr's temple. The gates themselves had to be an extension of the temple with the emblem between the doors being the distinguishing element that would let the player know what realm they were traveling to.
Completing this concept early on was a bit of a breakthrough for me since the Tyr temple was one of the areas that I focused on. The temple was so huge and had so many unanswered visual and design questions that nailing one concept meant giving multiple people visibility on something that only existed on a spreadsheet or white board somewhere else.
