I do like to change it up in the studio. Here is a good ole skullopus on a simple tumbler using just a brush and some underglaze. Still storytelling just not so much time investment. Big and bold. I did try to complicate the situation by drawing out an underglaze transfer but I tossed that idea and went straight on to the cup. Still had to think on my feet like I do with the carved pieces and it gave it a much looser feel than what I had drawn out on paper. Now that I finally have finished all the trimming and decorating work from the last throwing session I can get back behind the wheel. That 500 pounds of clay I bought yesterday is still sitting in boxes even though I told it to make itself into ware and sculptures.
