I’ve started reading again. Read my first few books this year, which if you think about
is quite sad. But anyway, The last one week has been disastrous (that’s an understatement) and I remember mostly nothing except maybe flashes. But I’ve started reading.
I finished Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes. Oh my God. everyone needs to read that book. It is life changing, it makes you think and think, it makes you sad and wish for things you wish you didnt wish for. I don’t believe in writing book reviews but pls 2 read. Also, I’ve sworn that I’ll read atleast 200 books this year, which wasn’t a big deal for me 2 years back but now it’s next to impossible. I also read a bunch of erotica by someone on smashwords. heh. and The Thornbirds by Collen McCullough which was nice, but it didn’t break my heart or make me feel very many things. It’s well written and I finally read a book about ‘Australia’ during and post colonisation but it didn’t cover the aspects which excite me (though while reading about it, I started looking into Tasmania and found out that it’s beautiful and the last Tasmanian aboriginal died in 1876, Thank you White Men, We’re eternally grateful) It’s an okay book though. I’m now reading Attachments by Rainbow Rowell because I LOVED Eleanor and Park. (If you guys have any suggestions do let me know, thank you!)
