So I realized I'm going to be involved in a project requiring me to actually read notes during the summer session... I don't know about you, but I'm not so good at that. The only things I learned to read notes for were chimes, bells, the recorder and singing in choir, so I pretty much got away with memorizing what/when my part was without learning much of anything else. -_- Anyway, I found a couple apps/links that might help, and figured I'd pass them along.
1) The Note Game. I have a version for my iPhone, but it looks like you can play it on your computer/Smartphone as well. It's designed for kids, but it's fun for every age.

2) Play By Ear. It's an app that allows you to use whatever instrument you have handy to learn the notes. You may have to search the icons/pics in the link to find one that's compatible with whichever tech you have handy, but hey, learn notes while learning an instrument. :D

3) This is a basic overview in how to read notes/basics of different notes.
