Anything can really inspire me; usually it's friends though (and I thank them in odd ways). Also hearing a song for the first time where you get goosebumps and chills (SO GOOD).

Probably ceramics. I've worked with clay, and you have a timeframe of when/how you can work with it, and sometimes it can break when firing in the kiln (and then there's also carving from stone which is a whole different set of challenges). You can make something practical, or decorative too.

(I'm both an artist and a writer, so it's hard for me to choose)
