Just realized I haven't posted in almost a month! Here's all my latest pickups. Had the urge to play Uncharted but I've already played them all, so got the Lara Croft reboots instead. I have the first one on the PS3 but never played it, so I got the Definitive Edition on the PS4, and Artbook Edition of the sequel. Rabi-Ribi is a metroidvania game I've heard good things about, and thought it's worth a shot for under £10. Then, some love for the Switch with Cave Story + and Telltale's Batman. I played the 3DS version and loved it; will be cool to play the definitive edition on a home console, which comes with the soundtrack. The Switch version of Batman is more expensive, but that's because it's got the complete first season on the cartridge. Other consoles' versions just have episode 1 on the disc and allow you to download the rest. Finally, picked up Pokémon TCG on the Game Boy as part of my attempt to get a complete Pokémon game collection. It's missing the promo card, though, and I'm not sure if it's also supposed to have a TCG rulebook in addition to the manual. For my first post for the #RCECollectember event, I'd like to showcase Thomas Was Alone, one of my favourite pieces in my collection. Was overjoyed when @limitedrungames had announced they were doing a physical release of this game, as I'd played it on Steam when it first came out, and the game (apart from being a solid platfortmer) really resonated with me. The game's themes of seeking purpose and companionship, as well as its messages of teamwork and selflessness genuinely connected with me at the time, and still do. @strillivanilli and @bigkingbadger tagged me in their quest to find the #crappiestgamecover. Worst one in my collection is probably Chase: Hollywood Stunt Driver. I don't really have shovelware in my collection unless I got it as part of a bundle. I have no idea just how bad this game is, but the cover just looks... cheap. It's trying to sell the game with explosions and the main character's cleavage. The artstyle looks like early CGI and the title looks like WordArt. @bigkingbadger tagged me for #rosetintedclassics, and given the theme here I thought it might be appropriate to use a filter for once haha. I believe I'm supposed to show a classic game I look back on with substantial amounts of nostalgia. Spyro 2 was one of the games I played the most when I was younger, and is the only game I have played from start to finish several times over. Without this game I doubt I'd be the gamer I am today.
