I always find the jump funny, though, because they are so unlikely! Darius is distant, closed-off, and snarky, while Friedrich is someone who is gentle, warm, and willing to get closer to others when you let him, of course. Oblivion endings in particular are cool if you take the S3 LIs routes (John got one too, but that one is a bit sad) because despite the bittersweet part (I mean, both lose their memories and the big bad is still around), the ending is a lot more hopeful since as they say: time heals all wounds, and the open-ended nature means a lot if you like to imagine what happens later.
