ANDERS - i only started playing TM recently but when i saw him i didn't see the appeal yk? he kept meddling with ghita like bro i got ragebaited by him so hard
JEFF - i see this song more as a sarcastic one and it felt like his calling idk
DIEGO - no comment
DRAGAN - him in S1 really turned me off i got so frustrated that any kind of groveling he did after i ignored
AMRIT - i don't exactly know how to explain this one so i won't
DAMON - same as diego (feels kinda obvious)
JUSTIN - he was just a jerk to mc regardless if he was with her or not and i hated how he was acting for a fair amount of the story, really dragged down the mood
BORIS - i don't find him hot. i only find him a bit decent with fanart bc for some reason he has a lot of amazing ones :/
LUKE - i already wasn’t into him in S1 but when he did THAT to sarah i knew he’s not for me (and we’re supposed to thank him for that too?!?)
JAMES - he immediately came to mind after i heard dwimyw. like?? it's his route in a nutshell (never played his route)
HODGE - he's the one i hate the least out of the bunch but i just don't fw him, yk? maybe if i get back to OTI i'll change my mind but for now...
TARINO - the lyrics made me remember his cases of jealousy that lowk borderline possessiveness
ALEXANDER - in CY i found his dynamic with agatha a little... interesting? he's one of the first i've heard abt when i started playing rc but i got icked out by him the further i played. CY2? it's slightly worse. got upset at him.
Yasin subtly hints to Ghita that a similar incident has happened in the town before, a long time ago. The Jensens, owners of the B&B, offer food to a tree outside their house. Mrs. Jensen reacts fearfully when she hears the word “trolls.” My guess is the previous incident involved the Jensens, and their child was never found. Was their child also disabled? The difference between them and Lea is that they actually believe it was trolls.
Yasin
Yasin’s family immigrated to Denmark from Syria when he was 3. My guess is they fled for a chance at a better life. They opened their family corner shop as a way to start over. Years later, the church took advantage of Yasin’s grandma on her deathbed, stealing whatever she had in her will. The family tried to fight it in court, but that probably cost them even more…
I think Yasin gave up on his police dream because he needed to help out his family. He dropped out of police academy, moved back home, and now works at the shop to help provide. Whatever he had saved up probably went into helping his family instead of pursuing his dream.
Helping Ghita gives him another shot at retribution for his family. It’ll help heal the sore spot left behind. It’s also a chance to live out his dream of being a cop, knowing that it’ll no longer come true. 😢
Asger
Asger’s wife conveniently had to go into Odense for work and their youngest child got sick the same day that Ghita came into town. Rather fishy, don’t you think?
Asger is loyal to the church, yet shows compassion towards Lea. He’s walking on eggshells around Ghita and is jumpy around Hedeager. His questioning of the post office seemed oddly specific and a bit of a reach.
Asger kinda gives me Ken vibes from The One Vol. 2. He seems kind and unassuming, but is clearly hiding a secret. There’s something about him that seems too eager, too nervous, and a little self-gratifying. He’s trying too hard to seem helpful, yet withholds important information from the case.
Anders called Asger “soft.” I think Asger is trying to be the nice guy to everyone involved — to Lea, the baby, the church, the police, and Ghita. Lea’s father, knowing Asger is part of the police force, could be taking advantage of Asger to cover up any trails the Church might’ve left. Plus, he’s probably not too happy Asger voted against everyone else.
I think the Church is behind the kidnapping. (Duh.) The actual kidnapper is still to be uncovered. But, I think Alfred was given to Asger and his wife as soon as they found out a new team was being brought in to solve the case. Asger and his wife were ordered to drive to Odense before Ghita showed up in town. Since Asger is such a nice guy/plagued with guilt, he handed Alfred off to someone in Odense who would keep him safe.
Hedeager & Krista Brandt
Lea says the church will spread rumors to make it seem like she’s responsible for her baby’s disappearance. Hedeager already believes Lea got rid of the baby herself. He’s not a member of the church, but is still influenced by them. He might even be friends with Lea’s dad. They have phone calls late at night and Hedeager hears him out instead of just shutting it down. They are also similar in age. He’s more than eager to assume Lea’s the one behind Alfred’s disappearance. Either Lea’s dad has Hedeager in his back pocket, or Hedeager actually trusts Lea’s dad.
Krista immediately puts her foot in her mouth by trying to belittle Safaa in front of Ghita. Not a great first impression. I’m also skeptical about her willingness to help Lea. She seems rather unconcerned, even annoyed with Lea.
The bathroom seems to be Lea’s sanctuary whenever she’s overwhelmed. Instead of checking in on her, Krista just sorta rolls her eyes and assumes Lea’s popping pills. She acts as if Lea is being an overly dramatic, irresponsible teenager, instead of a scared, grief-stricken mother and victim. (I don’t quite remember, but I think it might’ve been implied that Lea is self harming. Possibly she has an eating disorder.) This also makes it seem that Krista believes the church’s smear campaign against Lea.
Krista reports her substance abuse suspicions to Hedeager (furthering the smear campaign). He immediately believes it’s enough probable cause to bring Lea in for questioning, completely disregarding everything Ghita had just told him. This leads to Lea having a mental breakdown. No one seems to care. Not Hedeager, not Krista..
No one on that police team bothers to communicate with Ghita, despite her being a missing persons specialist. I think they’re intentionally leaving her out of everything. Both act like they’re on town cleanup. Instead of trying to solve the case, they just want Ghita out of their hair as quick as possible.
If Asger is involved with the kidnapping, I don’t think Hedeager knows about it. I don’t think he’s in on the crime. But I also don’t think he’s cares about it either. Krista, I’m not too sure about. I’m suspecting she might be the one behind the wooden “blessings” being left in Alfred’s room.
The narcissistic villain
Lea’s dad is clearly a narcissist who has the town wrapped around his finger. Religious abuse is his weapon of choice. He uses the church to manipulate people, taking their money… he probably likes the power trip, the money, deceiving the town into believing he’s a wondrous, holy person… He built that ugly ass church so no one can miss it. It’s the eye sore that can’t be ignored. He even brought in that American team of engineers because Lordy lord, his building needs imported experts!
Lea’s dad rejects the disabled because he doesn’t want obvious imperfection representing his beliefs, his church, his family, him.
Disabilities
Disability seems to be the main theme of the story. What’s interesting is the different types of disabilities that are popping up.
Alfred has Down Syndrome.
Anders admits to being dyslexic. (And ending a soccer career due to an injury. What does narcissistic pastor think of this failure?)
Ghita’s mom most likely had a mental disorder like schizophrenia. Ghita’s afraid she might also go down that road.
And then there’s Alba. She hasn’t made a second appearance yet, but we know she has a prosthetic arm. I’m really intrigued to see what kind of involvement she’ll have with the case in the upcoming episodes.

It was a good scene btw, a little short and some dialogues were somewhat funny.
