they'd still be complete assholes/shit lords but like, they would rly care about each other and there's the few times they worked together like ray just quietly telling him "hey, be careful alright?" and keeping an eye on him most of the time and adam probably giving ray something important of his and being like "now you have to give it back to me, okay?" yep

they'd be gross and SAPPY honestly. also moments where both of the crews meet up and they kinda make their way to each other anyways or sit together and secretly hold hands while everyone else is arguing/talking plans and there was that one time when they decided to meet up on mt. chiliad for some reason and ray sat between adam's legs and adam was putting some flowers in his hair while they talked about their days and no one noticed they were gone.

watched a ahwu where adam (kovic) gave ray a piggyback ride and now i imagine a gta au where adam is kinda crushing on ray and like even tho they're separate crews and shouldn't mingle or some shit geoff complains about they still do and adam always buys him things and like swoons over the smile he gets in return also they make out and date and their crew doesnt even know the end
