Review:
I've read the first book a while back and honestly I do remember the main characters, but only slightly so I needed to remind myself quite a bit. This book was amazing! I'd say it it was even better than the first book! Also when I started reading my "time" was 7 hrs, but when it finally loaded completely it was 10 hrs and around 30 mins and I was like "Damn, this is a hell of a long book, haha!" I was afraid I'd get tired of it eventually, but nope! Quite opposite. I need more of it. When I was 50% in, I couldn't believe it and I knew that I'd need even more of this book! I gotta say that Raylin is an amazing writer, seriously! She exactly knows how to drag you in and not let go! We've got 2 POVs here and both were amazing! One time -only- did I want the POV to be more Avery than Jim, but I can't complain other than that. I loved Avery more than anything. I loved how strong she was from the first page of the book till the end. I also loved how she didn't want to spoil her daughter Addison, which is rare to read about in books. I loved her comebacks and appetite for food. So fun to watch and read unravel. Jim was amazing too! He was way different than his brother, but super protective and supportive of him. I loved him. He was funny, but serious when needed. Didn't show much to other people, but lot to people he cared about. He did have his inner demons he needed to fight to get through it, but in the end he could manage it. He was a super hard workaholic, but the moment he was with Avery he tried his best to be present with her and Addy. I loved the way Raylin brought other characters into this book too. I loved seeing Ash, Jake, Collin, Alex and more people being involved. Especially I loved and laughed a lot at many scenes that involved them. My, probably the most, favourite scene was when Jim asked Jake to go and buy McDonald's for everyone. Since Jake is a cardiovascular doctor, he asked something along the way "Are you seriously asking cardiovascular doctor to go and buy fat food?", but when he came back with Ash, he didn't bring 2-4 bags of food for everyone, nope! He bought like 15 bags with him, haha! I was laughing so much! THE best scene in this book! I really loved it. I can't wait to read Dr. Brooks: Billionaires' Club Book 3 next! I loved all the characters, they are unique and fun. PS: I might edit this review later on or add more.
