REAX is in a bit of a lull at the moment, so Iāve had a relatively light workload in terms of writing.Ā That has resulted in more bylines at Consequence of Sound, which is awesome.Ā
My editor ā Alex Young ā turned me on to a Florida festival news lede, and the story seemed to take off.Ā Iām not sure how everyone else feels, but I welcome the prospect of a large, Glastonbury-esque festival invading Orlando in March.Ā I also learned that there is a very devoted following for almost every festival in the Sunshine State.
I had a call with Leialani Polk at Creative Loafing Tampa today, and I should be contributing some things to CLās music section soon.Ā Iāve also started writing little blurbs for Joe DāAcunto, who is in the man behind THX MGMT in Tampa.Ā If you had a good time at show in the area, thereās a really good chance Joe booked it.
