Daily Challenge 1/19/20: Adventure Time

It’s a new week so a new theme, and this week’s theme is TV Show Characters (Part 1). Our first show is my first love Adventure Time which let me draw my iconic bisexual vampire queen.

I can’t draw bodies for shit so that’s why the big Marceline (which I drew first) got her legs cut off because I go so frustrated I didn’t want to bother anymore. My favorite thing is Bat!Marceline even if it’s barely drawn.

Daily Challenge 2/27/20: Hands

Alright we are GETTING BACK on TRACK I SWEAR (no I don't). So we just skipped to the Anatomy week because I can’t draw bodies/features for shit so here is me forcing myself. I don’t think i’ve ever in my life drawn hands to this extent so this was tragic.

I’ve honestly been spoiled with the undos and fliparoos of my digital art privileges but it was honestly rly nice to return to paper which im more familiar with. As tradition of my Daily Challenges, my first drawing got cut off AGAIN (its the top left one). The order of when i drew them basically goes from top to bottom

Daily Challenge 1/18/20: Snake Study

Today is the last day for the “Pet” theme and our finisher pet was a snake!  I’m bad at poses apparently so that was hard and that's why they’re ugly. Also again we have Soulless eyes because I cant be bothered to fill them in.

The first one I drew is the head shot detailed one because my gf challenged me to draw a Bush Viper. It came out ok but im not sure if it’s really a snake anymore but that's cool. All of the cartoon-y tiny ones are because I needed to fill space and I couldn't think of what else to add.

(not so)Daily Challenge 3/24/2020: Torso

Almost didn’t post this because it’s my worst set so far but I reminded myself that the point of this blog is so that in years time I can come back and laugh.

Anyway all that I learned here is that I am absolute shit at following directions. The feminine and masculine on the left were done by following a tutorial (as were the side profiles but those turned out whatever) while the biggest two in the middle were done by eyeballing a reference. The worst one is the bottom left one it makes me wanna cry 

Daily Challenge 1/20/20: Gravity Falls

Yea yea I know it’s not what its supposed to be but I spent an hour trying to draw circle eyes and they just kept looking like boobs or hell itself and I aint about that life rn so this is what we get out of frustration and exhaustion. Little dipperboi 

Daily Challenge 1/16/2020: Cat Study

Today’s choice was anatomically incorrect cats! We’re doing weekly themes and this week is pets. (Since the week is almost over there will be a new theme come sunday). 

Looking at all of my sketches now I realized that I probably should have started by drawing an actual full on cat instead of a bunch of bits and pieces like Frankenstein(’s monster). But as this was the first day and I was already crying when I started, I think it was very good practice to get my pencil moving. The first one I drew was the cat that is cut off because I didn’t think it through enough to realize I was starting too close to the end of the paper. My favorite piece is the eyes at the bottom (and Smudge hidden at the top)

Daily Challenge 1/17/20: Dog Study

I CANT do side profile/portrait of any sort for the life of me so im forcing myself to. Once we start getting into the more human themes there will probably be tear drops on my paper.

Anyway, for today’s sketch I started with the beagle head shot thing first and it somehow ended up being my favorite thing (Usually the first thing I draw has the ~first pancake~ vibe). Again I didn't measure correctly on some of my sketches so one of the dogs got amputated. As to why none of the eyes are colored in except for the semi-resembling Doge, its because when I tried they looked absolutely demonic. So the tradeoff was to either make them soulless (white eyes) or demonic (attempts to color in).
