These bodies of ours hold sacred stories of a lifetime lived only by us. Each scar, wrinkle, stripe, scratch, and bruise holds a memory etched into the very flesh we inhabit. Unique to only us, we can see the laughter on someones face, the sorrow in someones eyes, the strength of one who’s powered through pain, and the opening in which new life was born. I’m thankful for this blossoming generation of acceptance, to see these bodies without insecurities and doubt but with love and intrigue. To look at others and see absolutely nothing but pure, true beauty. We’re all victims of self doubt and judgement from time to time, but sometimes all we need is a gentle reminder to put us back on track. Yesterday, I had the honor of visiting a client and friend of mine to document her little Theodore and the warrior body & soul that gave him life. The consensus between all of our friends who saw these photos was an immediate “WOAH! You have the body of an actual Goddess!” I couldn’t agree more. I was amazed to see these stellar scars, now taking home with a new one! She embodied all that is beautiful. Mind, body and soul. I loved every single second of this shoot and damn near sped home to edit. I haven’t been this inspired for months and it felt so good. Thank you for trusting me with these, I can’t wait for our in-home shoot time together! | #bebemome_ 📸, words: @feelinghomeagain . . . . . . . #postpartum #honestpostpartum #stretchmarks #rawpostpartum #postpartumjourney #homebirthrocks #deeplyauthentic #honestmotherhood #honestmothering #hellostroryteller #artifactmotherhood #takebackpostpartum #thisismamahood #postpartumudepression https://www.instagram.com/p/B8Q-UB0pBna/?igshid=1agz2z2x47dvr
