Scorpius: hes a pack rat but for the most part nothing specific

Ravis: he collects odd and ends things ppl wouldnt put any rhyme or reason to but that all have a special significance to him. he keeps it in a little box under his bed and pulls it out when he’s sad

Ollie: he presses flowers and keeps them in one of the books he took from the circle, he likes to take them out and show them to ppl and tell them about the places he’s been since leaving the circle but like with all sorts of wild tales attached to them that may or not be true like “I got this one in the hinterlands right before i fought a DRAGON.”

22. What are their favourite insults to use? What do they insult people for? Or do they prefer to bitch behind someone’s back?

Scorpius: he will let u know straight up if you’ve pissed him off theres no behind the back and honestly it doesnt take much. his favorite insults are ‘ass-faced son of templar’ or any string of curse words he can conveniently throw together

Ravis: isn’t a direct person, but wont talk behind your back, he’s more likely to let things go before a confrontation. tho insulting his people will get him mad, he doesnt have a favorite insult tbh

Ollie: again no favorite insults, but he’s most likely to insult ppl as jokes more than anything serious. if he does have issue he has no problem talking to the person’s face 

24. What is their sleeping pattern like? Do they snore? What do they like to sleep on? A soft or hard mattress?

Scorpius: maybe a whole three hours a night. he says he doesnt snore but ravis will tell u differently. he prefers to sleep in a bed and a soft one at that

Ravis: sleeps a good eight hours a night, is an early riser. he says he doesnt snore but scorpius will tell u differently. he likes to sleep in a bed preferably scorpius’ a soft one

Ollie: will sleep all day if left unsupervised. definitely a snorer and a loud one. he likes to sleep on anything vaguely horizontal and doesnt particularly care if its hard or soft 

34. What is their body type? How tall are they? Do they like their body?

Scorpius: short and lean. He’s five feet exactly, and as far as his body image well he’s p self-conscious about his scars but other than that he doesnt particularly worry about it

Ravis: tall, for an elf, and muscled (comes with being an archer that upper body strength) he’s 5′6″ and he has pretty good body image

1.When was the moment your character first felt something for their love interest?

it took a bit for both of them tbh it kinda slowly came upon ravis whereas it crushed scorpius like a truck lol for ravis it was the first time he heard scorpius really laugh that his interest slowly went from ‘i find him interesting and want to know him better’ to ‘i think i may be falling for him.’ for scorpius, ravis sorta grew on him at first but he didnt recognize his attraction until this moment that i wrote about the other day

2. How long before they did anything about it?

ages quite a while, not for lack of trying on ravis’ part. Scorpius is shit at real emotions™ and would divert any conversation away from any kind of declarations at first sight

3. Has their love interest ever made them blush?

listen. ravis is the biggest, most poetic sap there is he makes scorpius blush on the daily with the things he says. and for all his sharp edges scorpius is a sweet person, he likes to shower ravis with praises that make the tips of his ears go red

4. Do they have nicknames for each other?

not really? ravis calls him vhenan but scorpius likes the way ravis’ names sounds 

5. What are some ways they like to spend time together?

they cuddle while scorpius reads aloud or take walks together and fuck up the shit of every templar in existence

6. How do they handle being apart?

it’s something they dont prefer but they can handle it. they’re both independent people so its not that they have the whole ‘i cant live without u’  thing going on but it gets lonely when ravis turns to tell scorpius a joke and he’s not there

8. What was their first ever fight about?

ravis is indirect and scorpius is straightforward. i think they’re first fight was about not communicating, scorpius feeling hurt that ravis wont share his feelings with him, and ravis being frustrated that scorpius cant see that he was hurt in the first place 

9. What is the most difficult thing about their relationship?

they’re fundamentally different people so a lot of the difficulties in their relationship come from misunderstanding each other 

10. What is their happiest memory together?

It had been a while since Scorpius stopped referring to Ravis’ interest in him as “loitering.” The shop in Lowtown was a quaint thing, stuffed to the brim with herbs and potions, trinkets and baubles, but Ravis had always come for the sweets, five bits a bag and the sweetest thing Ravis had ever tasted. He popped a piece into his mouth and sucked on it while Scorpius eyed him across the counter.

“With all those sweets you consume, I’m surprised your bones haven’t turned brittle,” he shot. Ravis chuckled. To an outsider, he sounded irate, but Scorpius’ voice no longer held any real venom.

“Ah, but the price I pay to have the reflexes of a hummingbird,” Ravis said with a wink. Scorpius rolled his eye and snorted.

“Well, with such a skill do you have no where better to be on a day like today than in my dark little shop? Shouldn’t you be flitting about sweeter flowers?” he asked, leaning forward. Ravis always felt himself enraptured by the way Scorpius moved: leonine and almost lazy. But Scorpius was lovely anyway, his eye the color of honey, and glossy black hair that fell across his face.

4. Any addictions? (Food, sex, drugs/alcohol, shopping, power/control, etc.)

Scorpius: he smokes tobacco (or the thedosian equivalent? im trying to avoid an elfroot joke but if thats the equivalent so be it lol)

Ravis: dude’s got a serious sweet tooth, anything w sugar in it is his weakness 

11. What are their intellectual shortcomings?

Scorpius: he knows fuck all about most human politics, and most social grace is lost on him

Ravis: human customs, politics, and history. being raised dalish didnt give him much use for that knowledge. also he doesnt pick up on language very quickly, his clan traveled mostly in orlais, so his orlesian is perfect but his common is not always the best 

12. At least one thing that they tend to overreact to.

Scorpius: lol just one? the guy’s a walking overreaction tbh, he particularly has zero chill in regards to mage rights and the discrimination against elves, but those are a bit personal and i wouldnt call them overreacting

Ravis: being made to feel guilty or passive aggressivisms. he’s not a straight forward guy himself, so it’s a bit hypocritical.

15. How might they be ignorant or prejudiced?

Scorpius: has a p mean prejudice against templars, the chantry, most humans, and dogs

Ravis: his hatred for the chantry runs p deep being dalish, and after the loss of his clan it became personal

1. What’s their full name? Why was that chosen? Does it mean anything?

Full name is Scorpius Surana. scorpius is latin for scorpion, and ironically im terrified of them. i chose it just because i thought it was badass tbh

4. What is their relationship with their parents? What’s a good and bad memory with them? Did they know both parents? 

he had a good relationship with his mother, tho he was taken from her when he was 10/11 and taken to the circle. his fondest memories of her were the fairy tales and songs she would tell/sing before bedtime. his worst memories, having spent the beginning years of his life as a slave in tevinter were seeing her beating and lashings by their master. he never knew his bio dad, but when his mother married after their escape from tevinter, scorpius considered the man she married to be his dad

7. Did they have lots of friends as a child? Did they keep any of their childhood friends into adulthood? 

he’s never made friends easy, he pushes ppl away a lot, especially during his time in the circle where close friendships simply cost too much. after leaving he’s made a small group of close friends 

8. Did they have pets as a child? Do they have pets as an adult? Do they like animals? 

no pets as a child. obv he gets a mabari in game, but he’s actually p scared of dogs. i kinda still wanna give him a pet bird

he’s a magpie he likes anything shiny tbh. he keeps most of it in a box under his bed.

for the most part he had a happy childhood. some of his best memories are with the other children in his clan, pulling pranks on the adults (and that one time he put frogs in the keeper’s tent. he swears that the entire mountain heard he shriek when she woke up.) his worst memory was losing his best friend to an illness when they were 11.

19. What’s their least favourite genres? [of music]

(gonna say this is for modern au ravis cuz idk what kind of musical genres would be in thedas) he’s not a fan of classical music, edm, or jazz. alternatively, he loves showtunes and catchy pop music

he’s not a confrontational guy by nature, but when he is, he’s got a mouth like a sailor so it’s hard to pinpoint one specific insult. he gets creative with them. the only things that would get him to that level is talkin shit abt the dalish or getting too preachy about the chantry. he’s not one to shit talk behind ppls backs, he’ll do it to their face if it bugs him that much

39. Do they like letters? Or prefer emails/messaging?

honestly he’d prefer neither. he’s a face to face kind of talker. he’d be more of a phone call person if nothing else

40. Do they like energy drinks? Coffee? Sugary food? Or can they naturally stay awake and alert?

The fear never truly went away, only muted itself in the bright lights and bustle of the day. In the night, he had time to contemplate, to look and truly see all he had to lose. In the circle, nothing that was, was his. In the circle, he had nothing to lose but his own life, and yet he had gone, risked all that he had to stand against the raging tide of darkspawn with the Hero of Ferelden. Even then, when the dust had settled, and the crowds cheered, he had lost things he had not known he had gained. A family. A friend. A lover. A purpose. Maybe it had been better that way, to not know what he had to lose, and therefore no fear of losing. He did what had needed to be done.

His chest squeezed tight watching Ravis sleep. He knew how quickly things could change, how a life one moment could be so brilliant, to be replaced with hollow eyes, unmoving fingers reaching but never grasping. The thought of never hearing Ravis laugh again, to never see his clever blue eyes light up in mischief, was enough to freeze him in dread. But fear was not an option. It never was.

A brush of his thumb against Ravis’ cheek was enough to stir him from sleep. Ravis blinked slowly and Scorpius shifted slightly away.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you,” he whispered. Ravis held his gaze for a moment, looking thoughtful, before shifting closer, and pulling Scorpius against his chest.

“Sleep, vhenan. Leave tomorrow in tomorrow,” he mumured against the other elf’s hair. Scorpius closed his eyes and counted the breaths until Ravis drifted off again.
