Are there any canon body swap episodes? I feel like there has to be at least one I’m forgetting. Anyway, here it goes!

We’re going full AU on this, so to hell with canon!

Buffy is dating Angel, and they’re both in college

Buffy’s mom has health problems and that leads to her grades dropping

She and Willow go to a “magic shop” and Buffy gets this old “wishing lamp” or something

She wishes for better grades or something, and goes to bed

When she wakes up, she’s on a tour bus, and everyone’s calling her Spike and asking if she’s going to be okay to go onstage that night and what the hell?

Meanwhile, Spike wakes up in Buffy’s body, and once he gets over the shock, it’s actually kind of awesome, because Buffy’s hot boyfriend sleeping right there and all Spike has to worry about are some classes he could ace in his sleep

Angel gets really concerned about Buffy’s sudden change in behavior, asking if she’s okay, and “she” insists she’s never been better and makes out with him, so he kinda just goes with it?

AND THEN, some British rock star who suddenly canceled all his tour dates in the US shows up at Angel’s house insisting that he’s Buffy, just in the wrong body.

They confront “Buffy” and Spike admits that he was pretending to be her, because he wished that he could have a simpler life, like back when he was in college.

Angel is very confused, because he loved the old Buffy, but he also kind of has a thing for Spike in Buffy’s body, but he loves Buffy and she’s in a body that he wouldn’t have liked before, but it’s her and he loves her no matter what she looks like.

And the three of them, together with Willow, try to figure out how to get Buffy and Spike switched back, but it takes awhile.

In the meantime, Spike has to keep pretending to be Buffy, and Buffy (looking like Spike) accidentally kisses Angel in public, and now there’s paparazzi everywhere trying to figure out who Spike’s new lover is

Angel didn’t ask for any of this, and he might end up punching a photographer or two.

So all three of them end up spending a lot of time together in Angel’s house trying to figure out how to break the curse or whatever it is. And they end up all falling in love with each other.

There’s some pining and mutual misunderstandings, but eventually they all admit their feelings and there’s fun bodyswapped sexy times

And in the morning Buffy and Spike find themselves back in the right bodies.

Spike leaves for a bit, because that’s what he feels like he should do. He finishes out his tour, but won’t book any more dates, because he’s planning on going back to Sunnydale after all his commitments have been met.

Angel and Buffy go back to their normal lives and they really miss Spike, but what are they gonna do? He’s an international rock star. He’s not going to want to be with them anymore.

But then he does come back, and he says he’s staying as long as they let him stay, and Buffy and Angel welcome him back and yay, happy ending.

(And on April Fools, Buffy and Spike pretend to be bodyswapped again, and Angel has a conniption, but eventually he laughs too)

I have an idea for a fic where it’s after “Immolation” and Amos is depressed about Prax leaving and Naomi about to leave for The Behemoth, and Holden is depressed too, and Naomi is depressed that they’re depressed, and then they all have a super hot threesome.

Do you listen to music when you write?

I used to, especially when writing Glee and when I started Comes Around Again. I’ll still pull out a playlist when I’m in a crowded space with that one talker (or group of talkers) that you just can’t tune out no matter how hard you try. I find, now, that the lyrics distract me, so when I do listen, it’s something like Collective Soul where it kinda mushes together, or classical. 

Do you make playlists for your works in progress, characters, or scenes?

No, though I love the idea of them. I don’t have the time or patience to create them. If anybody *else* wanted to put one together and share, however, I’d totally be down with that. 

I do, however, have songs that I listen to that remind me of stories or characters or scenes, but mostly it becomes a dance party a la Shrek. 

Do you prefer first or third person?  Why?

Third, all the way. I once had a professor say to me “There is nothing in first person that couldn’t be expressed as well or better in third.” and I happen to agree. At least in my own writing, I find that it’s easier to get character/tone/etc when writing in third person.
