They had been up on the ring for a year and a half now, and there were no signs of their cozy harmony being disrupted by his absence. He wondered how Emori was doing in her training, and how Raven was coping with the task at hand. He knew she would be putting huge amounts of pressure on herself. He'd asked Bellamy to get her to come and see him, but he didnt ecpect her to just walk right into his room. "I mean I know I invited you here, but you could still knock." He hadn't expected her to come so soon, and he'd just had a wash. He pulled on a shirt and got to his feet, offering her some whiskey he'd found. "Or are we past manners Now?" He asked with a smirk. "How are You?" He'd seen her in pretty terrible conditions in the past, he wanted to be sure she wasn't about to burn out.

             the valley had been SWARMING with armed prisoners, so knowing the terrain, madi and clarke had chosen to remain out of side until nightfall. it was too dangerous to approach the ship and with a civil war going on between diyoza and mccreary as it seemed, it was way too easy to get caught between the frontiers. although madi had found a whole new skill set of being annoyingly opinionated and judgmental of everything clarke was planning, she still followed the blonde and didn’t attempt again to flee and return to polis. by the time the sun had disappeared behind the mountains, madi was sound asleep in the rover and clarke sat outside the cave, listening carefully to the sounds around them and contemplating their next moves. the cracking sound of breaking branches attracted her attention suddenly and she pulled the gun out from the hem of her pants, rising quickly. whoever was coming her way wasn’t trying very hard to be quiet it seemed. curling her finger around the trigger, clarke was ready to pull it, when a figure stumbled out from behind the bushes, obviously not used to sneaking in the woods and finding their way in the dark.

          “ You’re lucky you’re even alive , girl . ” For one who was in NO POSITION to speak whenever she desired , Azplana had to give the prisoner credit for being so open — displaying far less fear than most prisoners before her while in her position . She was a FIGHTER , yet not quite a threat in Nia’s eyes . Not yet , anyway . However , she didn’t quite look like one of skaikru’s warriors , Nia had learned all too quickly that she should never underestimate any potential threat . Big or small — bruised or broken . “ Though I heard that you put up quite a fight for your size — IMPRESSIVE . Don’t worry , my healers will make sure you remain alive . For now , accept the pain . It will only make your will stronger . ”

her head turned in the direction of the voice, “ it’s none of your concern. i’m fine... “ she said, ignoring the fact that her voice cracked by the end of her statement. her eyes falling away from the others after a moment of pondering what to say next. “ why are you here? where are your friends? “

raven. luna’s smile formed, seeing aspen through a mess of curls, both her own and those of her little one nestling against her. her fingertips moved to gently brush them back from aspen’s cheek so she could see her better, see the card she had in her hand with colors that aspen had placed to paper.  “ai hod yu in, strik keryon.” luna breathes out softly, before her lips touched down warm on her dimpled cheek, a breath inhaled of her scent.

Everything that they went through, Clarke couldn’t blame her. She understood how the other felt, but it wasn’t her turn to tell her that. Instead, she invited herself over and sat beside Raven. 

            “If you want to talk, i’m here. If you want to sit             back in silence, that’s fine too. Just know that              i’m here.” 

It was all Clarke could offer. Would it truly comfort the other? No. But she couldn’t let her succumb to the darkness this way. At least not alone, which is why the reminder was there. 

            “Do me a favor, and lay back.” 

It was a simple instruction, and when the other didn’t argue -- Clarke settled behind her. An arm draped over her waist to hold her closer to her. “Talk to me. About anything. Share a memory.” 

Through it all, there must be something nice in her life. Maybe Clarke wanted to know more about it. She was a genius, that much was given, but there was more to her and she wanted to know more.

“no.” luna muttered it, quietly, but she knew it carried to raven as she did so. her eyes rose from the book she had in her lap of recipes luna had gathered over the years spent here with her clan. raven’s words had pulled her eyes away from thumbing through them like she’d been doing for the last hour or so. “are you trying to get me to leave?” she asks, interest in the tone of her voice and her accent weighing her words down more thickly.
