Annnnnnd ta-daaaaaa. I have FINALLY uploaded it! An update!

For the past few months, let’s just say that things were *crazy* so I didn’t get much time to update... but thankfully this week was pretty mellow!

But YES, I absolutely adore the new ways in which this ship can go now with canon Alador being Like That. My man has been Through It, anon (I mean, they both have but Lilith doesn't show it as much).

However, while domestic fluff with these two has its appeal, I'm far more interested in the Angst of it all, like, god, can you imagine seeing your childhood sweetheart after you've both lived through decades of awful, awful decisions and trauma and wondering where it all went so incredibly wrong?

I keep imagining a scene set a couple years before canon, where Lilith has been hunting Eda down and hasn't slept in days, while Alador finds himself in the castle because he's been called by the Emperor to work on a very big Abomination project that's absolutely wrecking him. They bump into each other in a hallway and, through all the exhaustion of working nonstop on something they feel no joy for, they look at each other and suddenly remember that, oh yeah. They used to be people, once.

Summary: Months after the incident in Belos' Castle, and with everyone having gotten used to the new dynamic within the Owl House, Luz, Eda and Lilith take a visit to one of the greatest landmarks in all of Bonesborough... the Bonesborough Museum of Natural History. If there's any place that would help find Luz a way to get back home, it's there! What they were NOT expecting, is bumping into the Museum's primary benefactor, the Blight Patriarch himself, Alador Blight. Proud, powerful and dangerous, he exudes absolute authority, and exemplifies what a Blight should be... much to Luz and the gang's frustration.

Then, later that night, Luz senses a dark, looming presence within the museums halls, and that there's more to the Blight Patriarch than meets the eye...

Here comes Chapter 4!

To my shock, this was even LONGER than Chapter 1! And that one had the most world-building elements, my specialty!

This was basically a big exercise in how to write dramatic tension, as well as how to write feelings of awkwardness between two individuals... Also sister fun-times!

I have to say, I have to credit @miuzes as my co-writer for this chapter. She basically wrote a lot of paragraphs that helped me learn how to write drama, tension, and sadness. Dialogue is more my specialty, so it was great to learn from someone who’s great at descriptions.
