Season 1: Even though he stole my song, expects me to write all his songs while having school and work to worry about AND never thinks about MY time … he’s actually really sweet.

Season 2: Why would anyone think we like each other, we’re just friends?! … He is pretty cute though … maybe I do like him … HOLY PICKLES, I like him.

Season 3: Why did I even try moving on from him, I never stopped liking him. Heck, I LOVE him.

Like for starters Austin and Ally’s relationship. They first dated and realized that it wasn’t working and they took a break to really find themselves and that it’s okay to make mistakes. Even though they really loved and cared for each other they didn’t date until they matured and realized what true love was, which I feel like a lot of kids shows portray that once you like each other, you date and love.

Another thing which really stood out to me, is that after high school not everyone went to college. A lot of kids shows I watched when I was younger (I’m not sure about now) the main protagonists always went to college when they graduated high school. But in Austin and Ally, only Ally went and that was because she really wanted to, not because it was something she felt like she had to do because she graduated. And Austin, Trish and Dez did what they wanted and never rushed to sign up for college because they didn’t want to.
