Raspberry stitch fingerless gloves complete!
I've had to take a little break from knitting because of school work and finals and all. However it's almost summer so I'll be back to knitting every day again! Anyway, I learnt the raspberry stitch. I'll need to work on it a bit more before I make anything using it but it's a good start!
I learnt the raspberry stitch yaaayy! It looks a bit odd because I had super troubles with it, I followed this video: http://youtu.be/Saw2bXHqVK4 I had a lot of difficulty working out when to pull the wool to the front and back and often knotted it up. Took me hours to finally do it but I'm so chuffed. I've learned to do little ladder stitches, casting off and this raspberry stitch today. It's not quite as tight-looking at the other pictars I've seen, I don't know if that's just because of the yarn I'm using or whatever. But oh well. Here's a pic of it: I also kinda had a problem with an extra stitch at the end and didn't know what to do with it... so I just knitted it. XD Here's a reminder to myself: 1. Cast on - multiple of 4 stitches +2 (eg 6x4 + 2) 2. Purl rows 1 and 3 3. Second row: purl 3 stitches at once 4. To make up for those stitches, knit 1, purl 1, knit 1 into the same stitch. Make sure to bring the yarn to the back and front correctly or else it'll get tangled.
I just learned the raspberry stitch!
I'm so excited!
