Herringpaw and Rapidpaw are littermates and the best of friends, since they had to take care of each other after being abandoned by their parents for reasons unknown to them. After being found by Conchflower of MorningClan, they were taken in to train as apprentices. Herringpaw seemed to succeed in every way that Rapidpaw could not: a natural swimmer, great at catching fish, and with a charisma that endeared him to the whole clan. Although he loves his brother, Rapidpaw can’t help but feel envious of Herringpaw, and he hates himself for feeling this way. Thankfully, he tends to channel his negative emotions into training extra hard, though it does take a toll on him…
