“For me, I’ve always tried to capture women’s sports in a way that shows you something more than you see as a spectator. I’m not chasing a news story or action alone; I’m trying to showcase athletes in the way that I see them- as unique individuals. I look for moments of celebration and of joy, but capturing defeat and heartbreak can be just as powerful. I started shooting women’s sport because the coverage wasn’t there and these were stories that needed to be told. That still motivates me today.”
