Hey, Spy. Raphley it is! Thank you so much for the questions, I needed an excuse to yap about the blorbos!

2: Ash fell first and Raph fell harder. They knew each other almost a year and a half before they started dating. Both of them were in a pretty bad spot at the start of it, so that was completely out of the question. Around the six month point, Ash started developing feelings. (I will write this soon, promise.) She knew that Raph wasn't human (full Nightwatcher but that costume makes it obvious XD) and didn't even know his actual name. She originally resigned herself to just crushing on him until it passed. That obviously did not happen XD

Raph could tell when his feelings started but it didn't really hit him until ✨the bonk✨. It hit him like a freight train and his pinning went up to an 11 for a solid month after he saw her again (she was away for an extended period there right after). It was another four months before they got together, but trust me the pinning was obvious to everyone but them.

7: The biggest hurdle they face in becoming a couple is 1,000% the fact that they both are really bad with feelings. They know how they feel long before they addressed it. Raph thought it wouldn't be possible because he didn't deserve her, while Ash thought that it wouldn't be possible because he wasn't human and she was. They are very close but they won't take that last nudge into a romantic relationship until Donnie and Leo bring it up to both of them (Donnie to Ash and Leo to Raph).

22: Okay so I've actually been thinking on this because I've started plotting their early relationship and felt that it would be a good thing to think.

Ash's ideal date night: There's a patch of woods outside of the city that they have a picnic. Flower crowns (because Ash loves weaving them), and some light animal watching. Then they go see a movie in the drive-in theater.

Raph's ideal date night: Snuggled up on the couch with snacks (and chocolates, they're Ash's favorite) watching movies/one of their TV shows. Once the movie's over, Ash reads to him until they both doze off.

As a treat, their most common date night: Sparring that leads to snuggles/kisses on the mat before eating lunch/dinner together.

This WIP Wednesday is ✨The Bonk✨ mentioned in this post. Without further ado, the context and then the first moment Raph realized he liked Ash as more than a friend :)

(The context)

Nightwatcher’s surrounded by the men with bats. Ash looks around and spots a pipe. She grabs it and runs at the closest man. She slams the pipe into his head and he crumples to the ground. All the rest of them turn toward her, giving Nightwatcher the chance to get the upper hand. He takes the rest of them out.

“I really wish that you could use knives, or anything sharp really,” Nightwatcher says.

Ash looks down at the pipe in her hand. “It was handy and easily accessible. I have a knife.”

She switches the pipe to her left hand and then pulls the knife out of the sheath. Nightwatcher sighs, a long-winded sound that makes Ash wish hitting him with the pipe would be effective. She sheaths the knife before twirling the pipe.

Nightwatcher punches the next man into the wall, bones crunching that Ash assumes has to be their spine.

He’s being a little too intense today. What can I do to stop him?

She spots a pipe a little further down the alley and trades her fingerless glove for a full one as she jogs over. She grabs it and jogs back over. She bonks his helmet and he stops moving completely. Ash knocks the last guy out with a swift kick to the head.

He sounds more confused than anything else as he turns toward her, “Did you just bonk me with a metal object?”

“Found my paper towel roll for the giant metal Nightwatcher,” she replies, waving the pipe with a shit-eating grin.

He scoffs. “What is it with you and pipes? Is that normal?”
