I can't tell if it's just a Blade edit or a Looprange + Rangehopper edit, but I am of course leaning towards the gayer option. You're allowed to see it as you want tho.

Also, this is a first video of this kind I made, so I am aware it may not be super good, but for me it's good enough to post it and show it to the rest of the fandom on here. I couldn't post it to YouTube as unlisted because it got copyrighted :'))))) so I had to download it on my phone lol

Behold! The infamous Dusty and Blade crashoutTM, humanized.

The first elaborate art piece I made in forever. The background looks pretty rough, since I don't usually do backgrounds, but I didn't want them to exist in a white void lmao, and it didn't come out as bad as I thought it would.

Also, the shading is probably way off, but do I care? No. I am very happy with this art piece, and that's all that matters. I may redraw more Planes 2 scenes humanized in the future. I'll see. I had fun with that one, and I have two more I kinda want to work on.

Yeah, I was up until 3am or so drawing those two being super gay and way too cute.

I'm still figuring out where exactly to put Blade's burn scar, so it's still pretty inconsistent on his arm, and I wasn't really going for displaying that anyway so idgaf. Also idk if their size difference is accurate here lol.

Doodling Blade alone or with Dusty made me go back to drawing, actually, I am so obsessed with Blade and with shipping him with Dusty, they are just ADORABLE together.

That is totally not a 45 yo 6'2" grumpy firefighter with lowkey the build of a tank.

Drawing him is the ONLY way I can get myself to actually practice my art, no joke. But honestly I am not complaining, I totally COOKED with that side profile.

I should probably draw a more detailed reference sheet for him at some point, but also like... I don't have to do that. If I'm honest, just doodling is what makes me happy so doodling I will continue. Genuinely, drawing humanized Blade made me improve on drawing things like different faces or body types and it's like, so fun.

Also I really do think he's a beautiful man with that round face I just wanna cup it and kiss him on his forehead but also affectionately beat his ass to sleep. Also, his nose is just UGHHHHH so pretty!!

Lastly, he is a BIG BOI and I absolutely refuse to see him or draw him otherwise. I like big men, I can't lie. Actual big men, not just tall, muscular but lean ones. No no, I like some meat on those bones, if you know what I mean >:3. For my human Blade, 230lbs is the absolute MINIMUM, yes it is functional muscle in majority, of course, but he's like BIG. Also, I don't think I really managed to depict this here, but he has WIDE hips. And that's what I LOVE about my design of him. Like yes please gimme a man with child bearing hips and no thigh gap. Also, firefighters have strong hips since they bear most of the weight of their equipment, do what you will with that information ^^. Safe to say, I am ready to draw an entire panel like this just about this man's wide ass hips so... Be prepared >:D

Before I knew Dusty/Blade was commonly called croprange or cropranger (before I was on Tumblr that is), I came up with a name for them by myself:

Rangehopper

And I have to admit I like it the most out of all the options lol

Not only because it's my own creation and I'm biased, but also because it flows nicer compared to the other two in my personal opinion. But to each their own, as they say, it's just a ship name

HOWEVER I just realized that my ship name for them may be "superior" for one reason:

The ship: Dusty/Nick/Blade

Nick and Blade are widely accepted as Looprange in the fandom, and I fw that, I like that name.

BUT it poses a "problem" when we try to give that trouple a ship name of their own using croprange/looprange

LoopCropRange/LoopCropRanger just doesn't sound as nicely as

LoopRangeHopper

Not only does it flow nicer in my opinion, but also, if you divide it, you get LoopRange and RangeHopper. Which is just GENIUS!

This post isn't meant to attack anyone using the name croprange or cropranger btw! It's a totally valid ship name, I just like my own better and I believe that's valid too.

Also my personal gripe with CropRange is that it sounds too similar to LoopRange and I just don't like that but it's my skill issue

But worry not, if you reblog my Dusty/Blade posts and wanna add a ship tag, feel free to use whichever one you like! Don't worry about my personal opinion, I really don't mind the different tags. You can use croprange, cropranger or maybe something of your own, and I'd be very glad if you used rangehopper as a ship tag as well to spread my propaganda but you don't have to! No pressure!

It would be very neat tho if at least a few people from this fandom started using my ship name, so feel free to use it in your reblogs of my posts OR even in your own posts if you feel like it! I'll be really happy! It's very neat that fandoms create their own ship names and I just wanna contribute :D
