I hyperfixated so hard I made a Drag Path edit
Contains some flashing images I think (transitions)
I can't tell if it's just a Blade edit or a Looprange + Rangehopper edit, but I am of course leaning towards the gayer option. You're allowed to see it as you want tho.
Also, this is a first video of this kind I made, so I am aware it may not be super good, but for me it's good enough to post it and show it to the rest of the fandom on here. I couldn't post it to YouTube as unlisted because it got copyrighted :'))))) so I had to download it on my phone lol
I had no idea adding some of his voice lines would go so hard tbh but I am really happy with how it came out
Hi hi :D
May I ask for Blade and Nick for the Mermay (is that the term—) pls 🙏✨
Two merrrrs, swimmin' in the oceaaan, five feet apart cuz they're not gay!~
Blade has spots to help make it hard for predators to distinguish his tail, it breaks up shape, helps him hide.
Meanwhile Nick gets flashy reflective blue lines in his fins that - while also throwing preds off their game - equally blind them so he can make a getaway.
I didnt wanna finish coloring the rest
Angry ass egg
👻 Happy Halloween 🎃

Some Blade-y thoughts for y'all:
I have been doing some more thinkings and ponderings, as I like to do, and it suddenly came to my attention that Blade was probably pretty minted after his career in film and television.
Blade doesn't strike me as one to flaunt that everywhere, but he does most certainly strike me as the kind of creature that would be more than happy to help a brother out if it was needed.
So, queue his departure from the world of media production and his traumatic transition into the depths of fire fighting (RIP Nick). Blade now knows just how it feels to be desperately lonely and potentially without a lot of help. So when he meets the Piston Peak Air Attack team, as they were at the time of his arrival, he notices a group of people that are in need of quite a bit of help. Although they haven't been, at least at this point, completely abandoned by park services, there is still room in the pot for a top-up. And Blade, trying to be at least a little surreptitious, does just that utilising his own capital.
Eventually, he is caught. And suddenly, the respect that each of his new team members has for him skyrockets far beyond the stratosphere. Blade maxes out their budget, and then some, permitting the purchase of vital resources and repairs. He doesn't need to do it too often, but he does indeed do it. He is eventually promoted to Fire Chief.
Now, queue the not so grand entrance of the new park superintendent, Mr Cad Spinner, a good few years down the road. Cad comes into the park full of grandiose ideologies and no real plan of execution. Just a nickel and a dream. He realises two things: One - "Blazin'" Blade Ranger is heading the fire department on top of the hill. He had to chuckle at the irony of it all at the time. Two - Financial records from park services showed the money Blade had been occasionally funnelling in to ensure smooth operation of his team and their equipment. Dollar signs flashed in his eyes, and being the skilful manipulator that he is, he managed to move some pennies around.
He started small. Took a portion here and there for different jobs and services. But, over the years, The money shifted from the hands/tyres/tines of park services and into the unloved company of a rather greedy individual.
Throughout this worsening time, Blade took it upon himself to provide the team with the missing funds himself. He would always fight their corner and meet with the board to try and regain at least some of the lost - no, sorry - stolen funding. But for the most part, the battle would be lost. There were times he had the capacity to shift the perspective of the board, but they were few and far between. Between him and Spinner, Spinner was the salesman. The beast with the pitch. All he ever had were 'blunt facts'.
The money for the base was reduced further and further and further, and Blade had to funnel in more and more of his own cash just to keep everything afloat and stop it all from falling apart at the seams. But eventually, as money tends to do, it whittled down to nothing. There was no more cash in the emergency pot. No more bail outs from the fire chief. And although the team took their own actions, (sacrificed wages, brutal extra hours, ad hoc base maintenance) it was rarely enough to get them through. Yet, somehow, they made it by.
Although Blade and the rest of the team became incredibly bitter towards Cad and the situations he had put them in, they never let it stop them weathering the storms created by those who should have been there to help them.
After the fire that knocked Cad from his pedestal of hoggery, the Secretary of the Interior pretty much forced park services to fire the finance director in charge of budget distribution. He was very intent on such a situation never happening again, and he was more than happy to promise Blade and his team that he would check in from a distance every now and then to ensure no financial tomfoolery was beginning to take root.
Eventually, Blade and his team regained their full budget, with priority funding for pre-determined emergency criteria that Blade helped to formulate with park services and Ranger Jammer. It took awhile, but things finally changed for the better.
And another art for those who asked me about Nick's death
Craving, but also trying to cut down, so have inedible chocolates instead.
