I know I’m a few days late for the 4th of July, but here is my nameless ghoul headcanon on how each ghoul reacts to fireworks.
Mountain: Is startled by the noise at first, but then becomes accustomed.
Swiss: Immediately gets excited. His pupils get large and he makes a break for it outside or to the closest window to get a view.
Rain: Doesn’t care. If a firework goes off while he’s reading, he just continues reading.
Phantom: A mix of Mountain and Swiss. He gets startled, but then gets excited and tries to catch the fireworks.
Dewdrop: Wants to show up the fireworks show and runs from the cops.
Cirrus: Tries to make sure that everyone is comfortable on the blankets and that they get the perfect view.
Cumulus: Same as Cirrus and Swiss.
Aurora: A kid at Disneyland Castle. She loves the colors and tries to catch them with Phantom. Would try to eat them if she could.
I wish Special and Phantom could’ve met. Just two creatures listening to each other’s records and having heart to heart conversations.
I honestly just want Special to adopt him. I’ve been reading a lot of rejected Phantom fanfics and they inspired this.
SwissDew angst idea when Swiss is newly summoned and Dewdrop just recovered from his element transition. Dewdrop is distant to the multi-ghoul at first since Mountain or Aether or Ifrit struggled to accept the newly transitioned Dewdrop and he is scared that Swiss would be cruel to him as well, but they end up developing a friendship months later. They end up talking on the roof or the lake and they have a heartbreaking heart-to-heart.
Dewdrop: “Sometimes it’s better to be alone.”
Swiss: “What do you mean?”
Dewdrop hugs himself and lowers his head: “No one can hurt you.”
Swiss gently tilts Dewdrop’s face to look him in the eye: “Dewdrop…I would never, ever hurt you.”
This hurt me just writing it. 😭

I have a new headcanon voice for Cumulus ghoulette: Captain Amelia from Treasure Planet. Her accent, her personality. Not to mention Swiss being her Mr. Arrow.
This sums up their relationship:
Cumulus: How did I describe them, Swiss? I said something rather good this morning before coffee.
Swiss: A ludicrous parcel of driveling galoots, ma'am.
Cumulus: There you go! Poetry.
I’m currently watching the Nightmare Before Christmas and it got me thinking, what if Phantom was made out of the quintessence ghouls that came before him (but his brain and his heart are his own)? What if he is able to detach his arm and stitch it back on?
Phantom’s skin being mark with his natural hyperpigmentation, but also had visible stitches. The ghouls adoringly call him “Constellation”.
What if he is made out of love (love, love, love 🎶)?
I have so many ideas!
