Characters are from my still in the making ‘Courting Rituals’ original story

No one saw it coming, really, that all these deaths, all these murders is done by these two. Eight brutal murders, over a month, and the world is shaken by the most gruesome love story to ever happen.

People had assumed Leah Harper’s quietness and preference for solitude as meekness. A weakness, maybe. But it’s always been the quiet ones, isn’t it? She murders three, and kidnaps five, and made Liam Davis kill the kidnapped five. 

Now, Liam is a nice kid, friendly, charming, people like him. But the question was, how did such a nice boy kill five people in cold blood?

The answer is both frightening and amazing. They loved each other.

It’s a Joker and Harley Quinn kind of love, a mad love, and neither regretted it. It was Leah who started it, leaving the first three bodies in Liam’s porch, and taking him to her estate which she altered to make every room, every corridor a puzzle, where the ultimate goal is to kill everyone so Liam could go free.

No one really knows, no one got the full story. They’re shot down on sight - rookie cop, stupidly trying to get brownie points - but if there’s one thing clear about those two is that they did love each other genuinely. Everyone who saw them before this had sworn up and down. They loved each other, they were soulmates, they were made for each other.

And it was funny, that even in death, they’re still holding hands, eyes only for each other, small, secretive smiles curling their bloodied lips.
