I GOT COMPLIMENTED IN WALMART TODAY-
Ok, so normally I ABSOLUTELY HATE singing in public, or in front of anyone. I never joined choir in highschool, but I can rock a karaoke machine. IDK its kinda weird. I only do it when I'm comfortable, or when I want to. Sometimes I think I even use it as an ADHD stim.. so anyways
I was in Walmart with my mom, and the song Brave by Sara Bareilles came on. So being my dorky ADHD self I was casually singing along to it, cause I'm comfortable with my mom, doing a silly dance move or two. Then I got sidetracked because my mom asked what was on our shopping list while we were in the bread isle.
And moments later, this nice lady came around from the end of the isle and she was like: Are you done singing already?
I was caught off guard, so I just laughed and said I had gotten sidetracked. And the lady laughed a bit too, then told me I had a beautiful voice. After we went our separate ways, I turned to my mom, flabbergasted. And my mom said: See? You never listen to me when I tell you that you have a good voice.
Idk, it just made my day and made me feel warm and fuzzy :D
