I wish people would listen to Jerry Cantrell's solo stuff more. He was the backbone of Alice in Chains, and while a good amount of people realize that there are still people who only pay attention to Layne. There are even less people who go check out his solo work because it's out of their comfort zone. He's an amazing musician and I think people should recognize his stuff without the name "Alice in Chains" stuck on the album being the only reason to do so.
I like both music and I definitely don't dislike layne, obviously, I'm just trying to get people to listen to new stuff. Because these people are me before I decided to be more open.

I am feeling the insatiable itch and desire to purge a lot of my shit right now. I've got too much junk, stuff I felt emotionally connected to. But its just - stuff-. And its suffocating me. I want to make room for new things, the me of now not the me of other years. Yule is coming up and I know I have gifts on the way from some people and I'd like to make room for that stuff.
