Mooka used to be a normal patroller/fighter- he was partnered with Dendritic Chalcedony. He was really fiery, kinda rude (although it was accidental for most of the time- but he didn’t bother to apologize right away), but had a very solid willpower and was pretty reliable. He bickered a lot with Chalcedony, but they had a strong bond and were able to somehow work together under pressure. Mooka also rarely resorted to violence when it came to arguing or clashing with other gems.
But during a battle he lost his partner, and from that point onwards he started to become harder to approach, more antisocial, more “dry” and serious. He became afraid of attachment, and even refused new partners. In the end, he moved to the winter guard try isolate himself even more (he saw it as a form of self punishment for not being able to help his friend in time)- he lied to Kongo by saying that he just wanted to try new things.
That’s the basic of Mooka’s story :0 he isn’t really rude anymore, just a lil rough on the edges and blunt. He feels really guilty for Chalce’s adbuction and constantly punishes himself for it by isolating himself and refusing to let himself experience good or pleasant things.
