Hey did you know one of my favorite people was born today?! It's @ramblingoak's birthday and it feels very fitting to me that she gets the first mixtape: volume two (you can find vol. 1 here)! As per usual, I have compiled a list of some of my favorite fics to celebrate Oak Day.

Where to even begin with Oakie? Well you'd be hard-pressed to find a more supportive person in this entire fandom. She's an incredible friend who always ALWAYS has a kind word to add in the tags and/or a sexy photo of papa to brighten your day when you need it most. If that weren't enough, Oak is a truly wonderful writer. I dare you to find a collection of works that feel more cinematic. I reread her writing whenever I need to feel something™—which is to say: often.

All that to say: Oakie I adore you and hope you have a fantastic birthday. Everyone go leave some kudos and comments as a lil gift. Or maybe even a birthday tip!!

Now for OCs we have my Ghost people

Rian(yes named for the Dark Crystal character I like the name and didn’t think abt it being so close to Rain’s name but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) they’re a sibling of sin who’s deaf and falls in love with Aether. I’ve written a few ficlets abt them! A couple I’ve posted and a couple sitting in my drafts.

Then my ghoul OC Atmos(hence the name of this blog lol) he’s an Air ghoul turned Quintessence. I used to TikTok’s in his cosplay but I haven’t done anything in months bc I got tired of TikTok.

Now my other OCs are from my original universe

You’ve got a Prince named Chorus and a wayward traveller named Bard. They fall in love (gay) but the kicker is Chorus is trapped inside a soul stone. He has no corporeal form just a spectral one. So through all of time they spend pining and yearning and falling in love, they can never touch.

In that same world you have a wizard called Alistair who is centuries old. He’s a tired immortal who’s bitchy and cunty and I love him.

He has a companion called Stafford. They were best friends (read:gay) in the university where they studied magic centuries ago and Alistair trapped Stafford inside a soul stone much like the Prince is. The difference being where the Prince’s stone is embedded inside a melodica (his chosen instrument in life) Stafford’s gem is housed inside the top of Alistair’s staff. (Because Alistair thought it would be hilarious to put Stafford,,,inside his,,,staff *crowd starts booing*)

You know, I am not American, I am not a hoagie/sub/sammich expert or whatever funny things you got there. But there is only ONE real answer to this question:

Any sort of sandwich that has mayo on it.

I'm definitely tend to prefer cold drinks, even in winter. That being said, I do love spiced drinks around the holidays, like wassail. I also always beg my mom for a portion of her Tom and Jerry cocktail mix when she makes it every year! It's so good with a splash of dark rum~
