Lido Beach Casino in Sarasota Florida. Art Deco #WPA project. Architect Ralph Twitchell. 1939-1969. This image was taken in the 1960s. Popular in the 1940s with soldiers. There was a ballroom for dancing to a live band, restaurants, shops. Used for community meetings and celebrations.
Lido Casino Sarasota, Florida. Ralph Twitchell architect. Completed in 1940. Had a ballroom, restaurants, shops, pool and cabana. There were bands and dancing in the ballroom. Demolished in 1969.
This Bradenton home was finished in 1951 using native and modern materials and incorporating the design principles of the Sarasota School of Architecture.
