I did not intend to upset you. My behaviour was horrendous, and I deeply apologize. I should have told you what I was going through, how I felt, and maybe you would have understood and stayed with me.
Do you not remember what I said would happen to me if you left? I can’t stop thinking about you - every moment of every day, my mind is occupied by you and your smile, your hair, your eyes. Irinwe, my beautiful Irinwe, I miss you.
I can’t concentrate on anything since you left. I’ll be in the middle of training or patrolling, and then I’ll be hit with a memory of how happy we used to be together, and I’ll forget my duties. The higher ups have started to take notice, you know. I’ll probably be shipped back to Alinor within the week. Is that what you want? Do you want me to fail? You know how much my career means to me.
Irinwe, you make me a better person. You make me feel alive, and now that you’re gone, I feel…empty. There is no other way to describe how terrible I feel.
You’ll never understand how much I love you.
