“I see a toad!” Mokuba shouted, pointing at the critter perched on the woodpile they were passing. “Is it poisonous? Can I catch it!?”

Seto recognizes the species and nods. “Go ahead, be careful not to hurt it. Once you get it grab the legs and it’ll stop it from going anywhere,” he recites.

There’s no one around them this far out in the countryside, so they aren’t bothering anyone as the little amphibian leads them on a short goose chase before Mokuba finally gets his hands around it.

“Good job, let me see.” 

Mokuba beams, gets a good grip on the toad’s legs before showing it to Seto.

“He’s a big one! And feels weird!”

“He has to keep water in somehow.” Seto touches the animal lightly with a finger. 

“How’d you know how to hold it? When I just had it between my hands I thought it was gonna get out for sure but now--”

Now the critter was secure and still besides the movement of its throat.

There’s a pause. Seto remembers quite a few critters being shoved in his face when he was younger. Their father would never stop talking about them, and Seto seemed to have absorbed the information despite not being interested in the animals.

“Someone once told me, that’s all. But you did great keeping up with it. I bet you can catch more. Let’s keep looking.”

Mokuba grins, before giving the toad a little tap on the head before setting it down and watching it hop off.

Oh! Idk why this was hard to think of off the top of my head! Here's a couple of them (they're probably more fun/funny for me but I think about them and they always make me smile)

When I was a Para, one of my students had dyed his hair green for Halloween (he was a zombie) but this is the day we found out I apparently have a hard time telling the difference between blue and green. I told him I liked his blue hair and he immediately says in an annoyed voice "It's GREEN you colored blind person!!" He immediately apologized and said "Sorry! I mean 'colored impaired'." And idk if was the air quotes or the fact that this 9 year old kid tried to correct his language but it cracked me up. He then spent the rest of the day finding objects and asking me to tell him what color it was and then explaining to me what color they were to him. Idk it was funny but also sweet he was concerned about my ability to tell the difference between colors.

The argument that Kisara’s story would’ve been better had it played out as originally planned doesn’t really hold up at all, given that once you know what KT had planned with her originally, it becomes wholesale undeniable she was indeed fridged. On the other hand, I do understand fans of this character see a kind of fairytale appeal in Mi/zushipping, but I’m not fond of it myself.

Where’s the fairytale appeal tho. If it’s a self-insert ship, why would you want to imagine yourself not having any agency or motivation and then dying tragically for someone you don’t even get to be with. And if it’s not a self-insert thing…like…she doesn’t have a personality. Where are you getting any romance or chemistry between these two characters. One of them literally wasn’t even written as a character. She not a human being with like, traits? Thoughts? Opinions?

It just occurred to me that Viz translated that part as, "I hate him!" Take that as you will.
