Today @itsubun, @railehatesfun and I got tricked by a waitress. We went out to eat at a really nice Thai restaurant this afternoon, and we ate roughly 50% of our food before hitting food coma levels of full. So when our server came by our table, we asked for boxes. And she responded, "We don't have boxes. We're open 'til 10pm, you have plenty of time to eat!" And we believed her. Unwilling to part with our precious food, we slowly set to work trying to shove the rest of our food in our faces. ...until a couple minutes later, a different server asked the table across from us if they needed boxes. At which point we just STOPPED and looked sheepishly at one another/cursed under our breath/almost faceplanted into our food in embarrassment. Shortly thereafter, the other server came to our table and offered us boxes. As we were awaiting our boxes, the original server came back and was quite fake-incredulous -- how dare the other server get us boxes! She huffed a lot and then gave us some extra fortune cookies. In conclusion: this is a great restaurant and we are all incredibly gullible.
