Now for the Pokemon she dynamorphed with:

Name: Nox

Species: Zoroark ✨

Nature: Timid

Moves: Nasty Plot, Night Daze, Incinerate, and Shadow Ball

Background: Nox was Caitlyn’s first and most loyal Pokemon, who she obtained as a zorua. He’s always been super skittish around others, likely due to having to survive on his own as a shiny in the wild before he was found by her. That being said, despite his timid nature, he was an extremely skilled battler and got Caitlyn through the Kalos league, fought Team Flare, and even faced one of the region’s legendaries, Yveltal. While her mega ampharos, Pan, was the poster Pokemon of Caitlyn’s time as champion because of his more outgoing personality and flashy appearance, Nox was always Caitlyn’s ace when it came to battling and honestly preferred to not be in the spotlight.

What Happened: 

When she moved to Galar, Caitlyn wasn’t originally allowed to bring her Kalos team over.

She was able to pull a few strings after claiming the title of gym leader, and got permission to bring over one pokemon under the condition that while it occupied a slot in her team, it couldn’t be used in official battles.

She chose Nox, and would travel back to Kalos to visit the others

All was going good until Eternatus showed up. Even though it was technically against the rules, due to Eternatus’ high level and the risks that came with fighting it, Caitlyn elected to use Nox in the fight with the others.

Eventually the blast happened, Nox tried to shield Caitlyn, and disappeared with the other Pokemon.

Caitlyn was affected when helping to clean the mess made in the power plant below Hammerlocke stadium.

1) While she is working on improving, as of now the only illusion Caitlyn can consistently pull off is making it look like she’s disappeared. Aside from disguising himself as other Pokemon, this was Nox’s most frequently used illusion both in and out of battles, and is likely the reason it comes so easy. Often times it activates involuntarily when Caitlyn gets startled or scared. 

2) The dynamrphed trainers aren’t supposed to use moves they know to help their Pokemon in normal battles like healing moves, or status changers since that’d just be cheating, but they still mess with each other for fun. In the picture Caitlyn’s using nasty plot to quickly think of more strategies to screw with Raihan since he started a sandstorm during their last battle.
