“Staying up high and away from more danger is just the good option while we gather supplies to get going.”

“The rogue gallery of Pokemon aren’t the only thing keeping us up here, there’s a higher danger out in broad daylight, rather than lurking in the shadows.

“Humans are capable of suddenly interrupting and invading your life, and then you have no control over it. For an example, say there’s an independent strong Pokemon, who travels, and they’re so very free. And then whoosh, they’re caught, and suddenly all of that is taken away. Of course, most Pokemon want to join trainers, but not us. Hermes would have to be forced to give up on their journey, and that’s no good.

You all assume I’m just an ass, but I’m the most helpful thing to ever happen to this cumulo cloud. If I hadn’t swooped in, they would be beat up in the alleyway and could have been easily scooped up by a passerby trainer. The better question is, why wouldn’t we stay high up.”

“Full offense, but you’re a total stranger and kind of an ass. You have this vibe that I just don’t like.”

“Would you rather go back down there with the rats? Listen, I don’t care if you like me or think I’m weird or whatever. But the fact is that I watched that whole confrontation and it seemed off. You didn’t even use a move to try and slow them down, not a Weather Ball or anything.”

I don;t care if it’s about your pride or something like that but the simple fact is. That you’ll need my help whether you like it or not. So do you really want me to leave, when I know the region very well and may be able to help you out?....”

“.... Fine. But I’m going to sleep. Keep watch or whatever, I don’t care what you do. And then we can get supplies and stuff.”

“Well we’re not gonna be up here for much longer, so prepare yourself while I go and get some supplies and stuff.”

“If you had been any closer to the edge, I’m sure you wouldn’t startled yourself even more by accidentally rolling off.”

“He seems to be an early bird, unlike you, and kept going after my tail. Someone’s gotta make sure this literal baby doesn’t just walk off the roof after all. Now c’mon, let’s go get some supplies and stuff. We got a bit of a trek.”

I’ve been through a lot in life, things you couldn’t possibly experience yourself. I think I have the right to be a little... “smug” as you call it.
