don't worry, i'm sure she's spent her time productively, like honing her battle skills or something, and not daydreaming all afternoon.
MERDRAGON BREAKS INTO A THOUGHTFUL HUM , CLAWED HAND REACHING TO TOUCH AT OWN CHIN AS SHE MULLED OVER THE ANSWERS . she stared at the offered sheet with one brow raised ; eventually regarding the other with a languid gaze . “ not bad at all , you're so very close to ticking all of the boxes . ” valora commented candidly , sanguine yeux meeting leona's — a vague grin tugging at her tiers . “ i wouldn't say no to a date with a tall , beautiful knight . although we need to work on the hating humans part . ” @rahorak
are you valora's type ? ( accepting )
KICKS UR DOOR IN hi hello i love ur katarina i like just about any character u choose to rp and i think that is a testament to ur ability as a writer more than anything!!! ur kat is very believable, she feels like a human being and that slaps. 10 / 10 honestly couldn't ask for a better portrayal of her.
beep beep how’s my portrayal ?
— @rahorak
no but your muses and your writing and your art and your take on leona and every other character i've seen you write it's all so good thank you runa 🥺♥️
❝ . . . So naturally, I cut the thing in half, right down the middle. ❞
Leona made a small slicing motion with her spoon as she said that. She then dug right back into her bowl with it, taking a final sip of the soup she'd made. Eyeing Katarina over the edge of her bowl, she couldn't help but smile faintly. Her people fought the forces of the Void more often than she'd like to admit, sometimes with dire consequences. She wanted to make sure that the subject hadn't upset her guest.
❝ One of these days, you'll have to tell me a story of one of your triumphs. ❞
She offered to take Katarina's bowl once she was done with it, moving into the kitchen. A glance over her shoulder at the other woman had her eyes soften just a tad, for only a brief moment.
❝ Assuming you will be staying a little longer ━ or at least, come back sometime? ❞
— @rahorak
She listens intently, both hands holding the bowl as attention focuses on Leona's tale. It is not difficult to imagine the battle, the Solari so well-suited to it; if anything, the adversaries are what she truly cannot picture as clearly. Horrors from the Void seemed something crafted to torment the easily scared, or at best part of distant legend, too distant to feel real.
There is little reason to doubt Leona's account of events, nonetheless, earnest as her host had been from the beginning. And, if recent years had taught her anything, it was not to doubt the improbable nor dismiss any possibilities outright, regardless of how unlikely they seemed to be truthful.
She sips the soup, relishing the food and its warmth while pondering what there may be to be shared. Her battles were frequently surrounded by secrecy she couldn't well break without compromising Noxus — and that she would not do, regardless of how gracious her host had been. Hers weren't tales of heroism, anyway; and she had long stopped thinking about her victories as triumphs all her own.
The empty bowl handed to Leona, gaze trails after her, meeting the other woman's soft glance. "I can stay a little longer," It wasn't quite a request, though the assassin offers agreement as if it were. "I have nothing so heroic to tell you about, but perhaps I could share some stories."
"Have you ever been away from Targon? I would assume it's rare for you to be able to leave, given your role here."
[ CHIN ] pretty pretty pretty please 🥺

[ CHIN ]: as they stand close to one another, the sender hooks a finger and tenderly lifts the receiver’s chin, tilting it up so that they can look at one another, and running a thumb across their skin lightly.
Targon provides a nice change of scenery, though it truly is the company that captivates her the most.
Even at such a distance from the peak, the mountain provides quite the view of its surroundings, landscape much less dotted with buildings and people than the noxian capital she calls home. Spring, while a recent arrival, makes the valley more lively than she expects the higher altitudes would be — but Katarina had little reason to venture further.
The mystical mount wasn't a destination she visited often; missions led her all over, to Demacia and the Freljord, to Ionia and Bilgewater, but some destinations were more frequent than others. Noxus, be that hers or the Black Rose, had more influence in other places, closer to home. Still, she thought it would be a mistake to entirely ignore a land so intrinsically tied to would-be goods. It was information she had come seeking — and acquired — from the rakkor; old, and perhaps unreliable, writings related to the Aspects and their magic.
Leona had been an inevitable though not necessarily intended meeting. From what she came to understand, the woman was more than a leader, touched by the power of the gods themselves, the manifestation of their sacred sun. The wariness Katarina instinctively felt towards any one person with as much power, however, didn't easily take root.
Whether or not Leona welcomed her merely to ensure the outsider remained in check, her presence had been unwaveringly welcoming towards one who wouldn't so easily have survived the mountain on her own. It was refreshing; Katarina was used to suspicion and lies, a thousand disguises that allowed her to remain as long as needed to fulfill her goals but never to be known. This time, no fake name had been chosen, nor had she disguised herself as anything other than noxian. It wasn't often that she could stick with the same companion while on a mission, either, and the solari was simply easy to be around. Oddly comforting and bright, as if, indeed, the sun accompanied her always.
It is an obvious comparison, and yet the only that comes to her mind as her distracted gaze is lifted by Leona's touch. The closeness hadn't bothered her (Katarina is not easily intimidated, nor easily embarrassed); but the warmth of contact, particularly noticeable in contrast to the cold air, almost brings a flush to her cheeks. What does it is the light caress, breath caught in the surprise at unexpected tenderness. Emerald eyes meet Leona's own, though she casts a fleeting glance at the other woman's lips before her eyes return to meet her gaze. They had been speaking of something. Suddenly she has no reply to offer.
Her words are quiet when she speaks, recovering somewhat from being so suddenly disarmed. "You're making it increasingly hard to leave, you know?"

PROMPTS: Your opinion on people giving canon characters mental illnesses?
Honestly I rarely have opinions about canon characters these days simply because I do not follow many. Regardless, the original content a roleplayer adds to their canon character is 9 times outta 10 like... the best part.
Although, when it comes to the point where your canon character is diverging significantly from the source, I have to wonder why someone doesn't just OC-ify them. That is not to say anything bad about the RPer, just that I think someone would have more fun being able to do whatever they want with no constraint to canon.
But I do get the appeal of wanting to keep the structured world and lore and not having to do a huge amount of the legwork for worldbuilding, so. Also, fandom does make interaction easier.
