portal gun!
specifically, one of the full-sized replicas that NECA made back in 2012 :D
it lights up! it makes portal noises!! it came with the stripes to make it atlas/p-body style!!!
and hoo boy. this was. this was a stroke of absolutely ludicrous luck to find it:
old high school friend got back in touch with me last week to invite me to play in a pokemon ttrpg
he posts a picture of the portal gun in the ttrpg discord channel today
i ask where it is, internally thinking that it was going to be some online thing
his response:
“[name of local used book/game store that is about 10 miles away]”
i dither for like ten minutes before hopping in my car, driving over, dropping over four hundo on it, and carting it carefully back home
do a quick ebay skim once im home and have taken many pictures, and it turns out $400 is a LOW price for one of these.
needless to say it has a place of pride on top of a bookshelf now, aaaaand im gonna need to put together a chell outfit by october bc i mean. i HAVE to now. the portal gun demands it.
