In 2014, I released a series of home recordings called #RadioFriendlyFire available exclusively at thismaddesire.bandcamp.com. I like to think of these as a modern version of folk field recordings like in the olden-timey days when they would head out to the #MississippiRiver looking for genuine #blues artists to cut records. They'd be walking along and hearing someone plucking a banjo. Suddenly, they'd drop everything and wheel up their recording equipment. "Frank! This is the real deal! Get a load of this!!" And then of course we find out it's #RobertJohnson or someone like this, i.e. one of the greatest musicians of all time. (Not that I'm comparing myself to Robert Johnson...) Includes songs I wrote in #Winnipeg, #ThunderBay, #Guelph, #Hamilton, #Toronto, you name it. A wide variety of times and time zones.
